You control a space colony, with one simple goal in mind: Survival. Gather resources from asteroids to build up your fleet and crush anyone that threatens you. Upgrades carry over to future playthroughs. Only the most skillful commanders will have what it takes to survive the Eternal Exile.
Eternal Exile is a strategy mod for Starcraft 2 that combines short-term tactical skill with long-term strategic planning. The first installment of the mod is Eternal Exile - Perimeter, where up to three players duke it out in a resource-rich asteroid belt. Each player controls a single fleet that they must use to defeat their opponents and claim control over the sector. Resource Collectors scour the area for minerals which the player can use to produce more ships. Each player earns Tech (vespene gas) at the end of each game which can be spent on persistent upgrades. Each upgrade you buy for a fleet is permanent - for each game after you buy an upgrade, that upgrade will be researched.
To provide balance, players with a relatively low tech level will gain a bigger bonus at the end of each match compared to advanced players, while advanced players will only receive a small bonus (even if they win the battle.)
Since upgrades are persistent, Eternal Exile is an ever-evolving game. The more advanced players get, the more complicated their strategies must become for them to remain competitive.
I Must say that this sounds very interesting. I am big fan of your other map, maluma, and really cant wait for tphis to climb up in popularity so i can play it.
The map feels small, especially after playing The Final Frontier.
The game pacing feels extremely odd. Every game went this way:
Harvest minerals from asteroids.
Maybe a small skirmish for an alien artifact involving a few fighters.
Build ships while avoiding any conflict.
Once supply-capped, attack-move someone's mothership with your fleet.
Game over.
The main problem is the lack of things to do, you build up a fleet but then you just sort of sit around until you are ready to take someone out. Even the alien mother-ship that showed up was sort of anticlimactic. I lost every fighter I owned, but all of my larger ships survived. For all of that my only reward was an alien artifact, the same kind that randomly spawns without requiring my fleet to suicide to obtain it. That said it wasn't much of a challenge to bring down the mothership anyway.
I'm hesitant to try and change the pacing at this point since it is a fairly new strategy game. Once players are comfortable with the units and basic strategies there might be more rushing and other special tactics. That being said, there's nothing to stop me from tweaking things here and there to improve the variety of the gameplay.
I may work on having the alien mothership drop other things. The difficulty of the alien mothership changes depending on your rating, so as you level up it may become more of a challenge to destroy. Since the mod is so young there is still a lot of balancing to do, but I will iron these things out as it progresses forward.
As far as being too small, this is only temporary. I'm working on another map which is larger and will allow for up to 3v3 team battles. Once I fix a few glitches it should be ready to go - and the banks should transition seamlessly between the two maps.
I understand and I did not mean to come across as overly critical, the work is very polished and well executed, and your Malum Ruina map is one of the more technically impressive maps that I've seen.

This map can be played as either 1v1 or a 3 player free-for-all, so you should be able to organize a game with your friends rather easily.

What is your account name/id?
Also, your screenshot in the first post appears to be of Malum Ruina, not this new map.
I want to try this out but there is no one online.
My id is hyperrift.543, would love to test it, anyone.

My battle.net account and ID is Miles.152.
Ignore the screenshot on this page. That's just my signature.
I've managed to get 3 games in.

Needs support for more players and more variety.

No problem! I love getting feedback, critical or not. The more critical, the more it helps me improve the project in the future.
