Since I didn´t have enough time I made 2 instead of 3 phases and used no tentacles (no tentacles for a zerg boss! -.-) Also I don´t have enough time to make a video, I would be really grateful if someone made one for me.
I´m sorry for submitting an unfinished entry, but I put a lot of time in it and I don´t want this time to be wasted.
Description:
Beginning:
You have a base, everything you can build only needs a tenth of the normal time, firebats and medics are available, flying units not. Maximum supply is 80.
The boss constantly spawns units after a given time, so you can´t just sit around an build an army.
General:
Boss has 6000 lives
Range attack: 7 range, 16 damage
Melee attack: 1 range, 30 AoE damage
After no action for 15 seconds (no damage, no damage dealt) the boss resets himself
Phase 1:
Shoots sometimes 2 eggs near the players units which explode after 5 seconds an deal terrible terrible damage
When the boss reaches 3800 lives it spawns 4 queens to heal him (only one of them heals him at a time) and changes to phase 2
Phase 2:
Shoots 3 instead of for eggs and sometimes infests a unit. An infested unit dies after 10 seconds and spawns 6 broodlings. This can be prevented by killing the unit by yourself.
Used the data editor for everything, except these:

Victory conditions

i tried making a boss battle, i had the intro cinematic and a cool system. this was the system:
two times the boss morphes into something else, that morphing takes time. If its finished a large shockwave comes so you need to make a bunker from scrap. The scrap is all over the map and if you got 6 you got enough and you could build the bunker. But i just havent had enough time to finish it and im only 14 so im to young for a cool map. Also i had problems with the filming.
i just added the map so you can look at it :)
oh and i had a cool spell and cool music from "david orr" :p
As I mentioned before the attached map is not identical to the video I made.
I managed to cut some triggers and remake some of them in a simplest version, the result is really similar to the original one.
Lurker (Boss)
BURROW
Each time he can the Lurker tries to burrow. While doing it each unit near it gets knocked back. The lurker can attack and move only while burrowed.
SPINES
Basic attack used while burrowed that deals damage in a line. The attack can be dodged by moving out or jumping. Before burrowing (except for the initial one) the lurker calls for the help of 2 roaches.
SPINES EXPLOSION
The Lurker throws 12 spines attack around him with random offsets. Each attack works exactly as the normal spine attack.
UNBURROW
When the Psi-Disrupter gets activated the Lurker is forced to unburrow (knocking back enemies near him) and he gets stunned for 8 seconds.
Roaches (Adds)
BURROW
Roaches can randomly burrow knocking back nearby enemies. While burrowed they try to reach enemies to unburrow near them and deal knockback damage.
UNBURROW
Roaches are forced to unburrow after 8 seconds, when they are nearby an enemy or when the Psi-Disrupter is activated. Deals knockback damage.
ACID SPIT
Basic attack that deals damage in the area and leaves an acid pool that deals damage over time to nearby enemies.
PSI-DISRUPTER
When activated forces all enemies to unburrow and stuns them for 8 seconds. 15 seconds of cooldown to activate.

Did you even test your map? Cause it doesn't work how it's suppose to. You can't pick up any scrap cause it's all invulnerable, can't walk into it, and your hero has no ability to harvest it either. You can attack Zealia while she's "changing", and thus make the entire fight completely pointless.
I will be resubmitting my map since there is a bug that i fixed. And i will be submitting a video that shows me actually killing him and a video initiating hardmode.
i know that you can still attack her but the electrical beams that comes out of the ground are actually invisible probes that attacks her, so if i make here invulnerable they can't attack her. but the scrap thingy actually works. I made an action to turn those triggers on but that doesn't work. You can see the triggers in the trigger editor.
and i have told that its not finished but i didn't want to waste it so i just posted it so you can see the beginning :)

Phase 1 Abilities
Compact Earth - Zaragor will periodically channel energy into his claws and eventually slam them to the ground causing a line of havoc to cause damage in a straight line in front of him
Summon Sporeling Warrior - Every so often Zaragor will take a deep breath and let loose an extremely loud and powerful roar. This will summon two Sporeling Warriors to Assist him
Phase 2 Abilities
Parasite Grenade - Zaragor will throw a grenade at the closest templar to him (Can be dodged). If you are hit with a Parasite Grenade your body will be lit on fire and you will let loose a massive amount of dangerous energy around you within 10 seconds of being infected. This energy/aoe will cause massive damage to anyone around you.
Summon Suicide Sporeling - Every so often Zaragor will take a deep breath and let loose an extremely loud and powerful roar. This will summon two Suicide Sporelings to Assist him (They work like banelings)
It seems a long game and I was going to sleep sry :|
However the boss model u made with attachments is really nice, however I don't know what abilities does he have cause i got pwned by a bunch of zerglings :D

I don't really feel like making a video and I haven't bothered to polish this so consider it an unofficial entry. For one thing, it's blisteringly, fuck-you-in-the-ass hard. It basically requires you to set the game to Slower to control 5 heroes and even then I can't get past phase 2 without cheating. But that might be because I'm bad at SC2, because the difficulty is 100% needing to do lots of things at once - there's absolutely no randomness to it and you should win every time if you play perfectly.
I give permission for anyone to steal anything from this map. I don't intend to continue development on it, and there's some really neat stuff in here that people ask about all the time (such as how to do a thrown projectile that gives kill credit to its caster and destructs when it hits a wall.)
Heroes
Engineer
He's your tank, with far and away the most armor and health. I didn't bother implementing aggro so he also is by default the most attractive target to the AI. He gains energy when attacked and can spend it on two abilities:
Crippling Blow - Powerful attack which reduces an enemy's melee and ranged damage by 20% for a short time.
Shock Shield - Reduces incoming damage by 90% for 5 seconds.
Biologist
Your healer. I was going to give him a pet but it was just too complicated to control. Does not regen energy automatically.
Heal - A casted 2 second heal which restores a large amount of health at the end. Can be autocasted.
Neurotoxin - A 20 second crowd control spell which has a chance to break on damage.
Replenish - Channeled ability which restores the biologist's energy. On a 30 second cooldown and takes up to 8 seconds to fully restore energy.
Assassin
Melee DPS. His resource is "Initiative" - every regular melee attack has a 65% chance to raise his initiative level by 1. Whenever a special ability is used, initiative resets to zero regardless of how much the ability requires.
Frenzy - Requires 5 initiative. Increases attack speed by 50% for a medium duration.
Wounding Strike - Requires 3 initiative. Deals a lot of damage and applies a stacking DoT.
Phase Shift - Requires no initiative. The Assassin becomes ethereal and invulnerable for 10 seconds but cannot attack. Initiative is set to zero and frenzy is removed when this is used - it's purely for escape.
Specialist
Ranged DPS. Her resource is "Focus", which regenerates slowly while standing still and depletes very rapidly while moving. Having more focus increases her damage and allows the use of better abilities. Focus is not consumed by using abilities, only by moving.
Binding Shot - Requires 2 focus. Deals medium damage and slows the target by 50%.
Explosive Shot - Requires 3 focus. Deals AoE damage over an area.
Targeting Lock - Requires 4 focus. Acquires a lock on the target, increasing all damage done by the Specialist by 50% and allies by 15% for 30 seconds.
Magister
Ranged DPS/support. He absorbs energy from his regular attack to spend on his special abilities.
Psi Bolt - Fires a projectile in the target direction. Upon hitting an enemy or any other obstacle it will explode dealing AoE damage and knocking back non-massive targets in the area.
Psi Shield - Places a shield on the target which will absorb lots of damage. Cannot be refreshed until it expires.
Harbinger
Harbinger is the boss for this entry. He has four phases. I'll just describe the abilities so as not to spoil the strategy required to beat him.
Phase 1
Cleave - His primary melee attack hits anything in front of him.
Forked Lightning - Targets a random party member and hits them and anyone standing near them for a large amount of damage.
Psi Bomb - Placed on a random party member, stunning them for 6 seconds. After 6 seconds they will explode damaging any nearby allies. After exploding, a Resonance Field will be left behind for up to 20 seconds.
Energy Nova - Cast immediately after Psi Bomb detonates, this ability hits all allies and will instantly kill them if they are not standing in a Resonance Field. (Engineer can survive via Shock Shield.)
Phase 2
Phase 2 begins at 60%. The Harbinger becomes invulnerable and adds begin to spawn.
Defiled Servant - These are tough adds with a devastating melee attack. One will spawn every 30 seconds. When a Defiled Servant is killed, a swarm of Defiled Scarabs will pop out of its corpse. These have very little HP but do lots of damage.
Volatile Mutant - These will periodically spawn on either side of the room. They have very little HP but if they reach their target or are killed they will explode, dealing AoE damage.
Void Sphere - The boss will periodically send void spheres at random party members. If a void sphere reaches its target it will explode, dealing large amounts of AoE damage. They move slightly slower than players and will dissipate if they don't hit their target after a while.
Phase 3
Phase 3 begins exactly 2:30 after Phase 2. This phase is identical to Phase 1, except that Volatile Mutants will continue to spawn.
Phase 4
Phase 4 begins at 20%. Volatile mutants will stop spawning.
Cleave - His melee attack continues to cleave.
Dark Vortex - He will periodically cast this at a random party member. Causes a huge vortex to appear, rapidly dealing damage to anyone standing in it. After 6 seconds, a Defiled Servant will appear out of the vortex. Vortices will not disappear until the boss is killed, causing them to rapidly fill the room.
Well since I was eventually planning on making scripted bosses in my Smash TV 2010 map, I decided that I would push one forward in light of this contest. I managed to recruit the talents of xenrathe and Vortexx, and this boss fight could not have been finished without both of their efforts. xenrathe worked mostly on the boss abilities, while Vortexx worked on creating new classes (since I only had an imba test class before that), and I worked on the triggers, cinematics, and boss AI. I decided to start with creating the final boss for this map rather than the first boss. My reason for this is that I wanted to go ALL OUT, and I can really only effectively do that for the final boss ;)
I must say that I'm very pleased with the result, and I think it turned out quite exceptional.
(Please excuse the small size. You can watch it in full screen to make it a bit bigger. My patient friend, Kingmanic, recorded all of our videos for us, but they somehow end up smaller.)
Since this is a boss contest, I won't bother describing the heroes, and you can see them for yourself in the map attached. I'll just explain a bit of what you see in the video and what sort of things the boss does.
First off, you'll notice that the video starts with a cinematic. This is the final boss cinematic that basically brings the heroes to the boss arena and introduces the boss. No real gameplay value here, just some entertainment. Oh, and a cookie for anyone who knows the reference for " "
Once the boss fight starts, probably the first thing you'll notice is that the boss likes to blink around a lot. He cannot be trapped into a corner or anything, so you have to do your best to chase him down as he launches attacks at you. Another thing you may notice is that the boss has NO auto-attack. This means that the only method he will use to attack you is abilities. He has both major and minor abilities.
Minor Abilities - The boss will continuously use these at various intervals while he is moving around.
Major Abilities - The boss will speak and then use the major ability. He will not use any minor abilities while a major is in progress.
Minor Abilities:
Plasma Missile - He will occassionally fire 1 to 3 plasma missiles at a player with no charge up. Can hurt if a melee attacker is caught in it.
Plasma Bomb - He will launch a plasma bomb that will split into 12 plasma balls. He will charge up before shooting this. Can be extremely deadly if a melee attacker is caught in this.
Target Fire - Every 10 seconds, a random player will be targeted and have spiking energy chasing after him/her. The name of the player that is currently being targeted is shown on the right side under "Boss Target". Additionally, a red target effect will appear on the unit as well. This can be quite damaging if a unit stands still while under its effect. Also, the energy spikes can hurt allies as well, so care must be taken that the player does not lead the energy spike towards his allies.
Major Abilities:
Energy Waves - "Your lives are forfeit. Surrender to despair."
The boss will summon various patterns of plasma energy projectiles. These waves will travel in all directions, and often require some agile movements to dodge all incoming projectiles. The further away you are from the boss when he creates these, the easier it is to dodge. At short range, multiple projectiles can hit a unit at the same time causing HEAVY damage. Melee characters beware.
Blink Hammer - "Your doom is only delayed."
An aura appears around the boss causing his defenses to drop for a few seconds. When his aura turns green, however, anyone who is attacking him will suddenly be attacked. The boss will blink towards the unit, and slam it hard enough to cause the unit to be knocked back quite far. The boss will continue to instantly blink towards units until the aura wears off.
Spiral Psi Storms - "Cease your foolish struggle. There is no hope."
The boss creates a pattern of spirals on the ground and summons numerous psi storms to travel around in the spiral. One spirals from the boss outwards, while another spirals from the outside and in towards the boss. A unit can dodge the psi storms by standing on ground that has no marker on it.
Kamehameha - "Your existence ends this day."
The boss charges up a giant energy blast and launches it towards a unit. If it hits, then it will stun all players on the field and also cause the screen to go blinding white for two seconds. However, this energy blast CAN be blocked. All heroes have a "Shield" ability which grants them a shield and makes them invulnerable for 2 seconds. If timed right, the energy blast can be deflected by use of this shield and harmlessly sent away. The other result of deflecting the blast is that the player who deflected becomes super charged with increased attack and movement speed for 30 seconds.
Soul Pylons - "Come my slaves. The time has come to give me your strength"
At certain points in the battle, the boss will summon 4 soul pylons and become invulnerable. During this time, the soul pylons will transfer health to the boss, healing him (and damaging themselves in the process). You must destroy the 4 pylons before the boss gains too much health back. After the 4 pylons are destroyed, he will become vulnerable again. Another thing the boss does is summon many dark zealots to come charging at you and buy him some time. More dark zealots are summoned whenever a pylon is destroyed. Destroying all 4 pylons also causes the boss to release an energy nova that kills any remaining dark zealots.
Well, that about covers the boss. You can see the rest in the video, as it gives a good show of everything. Also note that the video is best viewed in 720p.

Biologist
Your healer. I was going to give him a pet but it was just too complicated to control. Does not regen energy automatically.
Heal - A casted 2 second heal which restores a large amount of health at the end. Can be autocasted.
Neurotoxin - A 20 second crowd control spell which has a chance to break on damage.
Replenish - Channeled ability which restores the biologist's energy. On a 30 second cooldown and takes up to 8 seconds to fully restore energy.
Assassin
Melee DPS. His resource is "Initiative" - every regular melee attack has a 65% chance to raise his initiative level by 1. Whenever a special ability is used, initiative resets to zero regardless of how much the ability requires.
Frenzy - Requires 5 initiative. Increases attack speed by 50% for a medium duration.
Wounding Strike - Requires 3 initiative. Deals a lot of damage and applies a stacking DoT.
Phase Shift - Requires no initiative. The Assassin becomes ethereal and invulnerable for 10 seconds but cannot attack. Initiative is set to zero and frenzy is removed when this is used - it's purely for escape.
Specialist
Ranged DPS. Her resource is "Focus", which regenerates slowly while standing still and depletes very rapidly while moving. Having more focus increases her damage and allows the use of better abilities. Focus is not consumed by using abilities, only by moving.
Binding Shot - Requires 2 focus. Deals medium damage and slows the target by 50%.
Explosive Shot - Requires 3 focus. Deals AoE damage over an area.
Targeting Lock - Requires 4 focus. Acquires a lock on the target, increasing all damage done by the Specialist by 50% and allies by 15% for 30 seconds.
Magister
Ranged DPS/support. He absorbs energy from his regular attack to spend on his special abilities.
Psi Bolt - Fires a projectile in the target direction. Upon hitting an enemy or any other obstacle it will explode dealing AoE damage and knocking back non-massive targets in the area.
Psi Shield - Places a shield on the target which will absorb lots of damage. Cannot be refreshed until it expires.
Harbinger
Harbinger is the boss for this entry. He has four phases. I'll just describe the abilities so as not to spoil the strategy required to beat him.
Phase 1
Cleave - His primary melee attack hits anything in front of him.
Forked Lightning - Targets a random party member and hits them and anyone standing near them for a large amount of damage.
Psi Bomb - Placed on a random party member, stunning them for 6 seconds. After 6 seconds they will explode damaging any nearby allies. After exploding, a Resonance Field will be left behind for up to 20 seconds.
Energy Nova - Cast immediately after Psi Bomb detonates, this ability hits all allies and will instantly kill them if they are not standing in a Resonance Field. (Engineer can survive via Shock Shield.)
Phase 2
Phase 2 begins at 60%. The Harbinger becomes invulnerable and adds begin to spawn.
Defiled Servant - These are tough adds with a devastating melee attack. One will spawn every 30 seconds. When a Defiled Servant is killed, a swarm of Defiled Scarabs will pop out of its corpse. These have very little HP but do lots of damage.
Volatile Mutant - These will periodically spawn on either side of the room. They have very little HP but if they reach their target or are killed they will explode, dealing AoE damage.
Void Sphere - The boss will periodically send void spheres at random party members. If a void sphere reaches its target it will explode, dealing large amounts of AoE damage. They move slightly slower than players and will dissipate if they don't hit their target after a while.
Phase 3
Phase 3 begins exactly 2:30 after Phase 2. This phase is identical to Phase 1, except that Volatile Mutants will continue to spawn.
Phase 4
Phase 4 begins at 20%. Volatile mutants will stop spawning.
Cleave - His melee attack continues to cleave.
Dark Vortex - He will periodically cast this at a random party member. Causes a huge vortex to appear, rapidly dealing damage to anyone standing in it. After 6 seconds, a Defiled Servant will appear out of the vortex. Vortices will not disappear until the boss is killed, causing them to rapidly fill the room.

If you really have beaten it in 30 seconds you're a lot better than i am. (maybe rising the max supply to 80 was too much)
== Smash TV 2010 Final Boss Fight ==
Well since I was eventually planning on making scripted bosses in my Smash TV 2010 map, I decided that I would push one forward in light of this contest. I managed to recruit the talents of xenrathe and Vortexx, and this boss fight could not have been finished without both of their efforts. xenrathe worked mostly on the boss abilities, while Vortexx worked on creating new classes (since I only had an imba test class before that), and I worked on the triggers, cinematics, and boss AI. I decided to start with creating the final boss for this map rather than the first boss. My reason for this is that I wanted to go ALL OUT, and I can really only effectively do that for the final boss ;)
I must say that I'm very pleased with the result, and I think it turned out quite exceptional.
(Please excuse the small size. You can watch it in full screen to make it a bit bigger. My patient friend, Kingmanic, recorded all of our videos for us, but they somehow end up smaller.)
Since this is a boss contest, I won't bother describing the heroes, and you can see them for yourself in the map attached. I'll just explain a bit of what you see in the video and what sort of things the boss does.
First off, you'll notice that the video starts with a cinematic. This is the final boss cinematic that basically brings the heroes to the boss arena and introduces the boss. No real gameplay value here, just some entertainment. Oh, and a cookie for anyone who knows the reference for " "
Once the boss fight starts, probably the first thing you'll notice is that the boss likes to blink around a lot. He cannot be trapped into a corner or anything, so you have to do your best to chase him down as he launches attacks at you. Another thing you may notice is that the boss has NO auto-attack. This means that the only method he will use to attack you is abilities. He has both major and minor abilities.
Minor Abilities - The boss will continuously use these at various intervals while he is moving around.
Major Abilities - The boss will speak and then use the major ability. He will not use any minor abilities while a major is in progress.
Minor Abilities:
Plasma Missile - He will occassionally fire 1 to 3 plasma missiles at a player with no charge up. Can hurt if a melee attacker is caught in it.
Plasma Bomb - He will launch a plasma bomb that will split into 12 plasma balls. He will charge up before shooting this. Can be extremely deadly if a melee attacker is caught in this.
Target Fire - Every 10 seconds, a random player will be targeted and have spiking energy chasing after him/her. The name of the player that is currently being targeted is shown on the right side under "Boss Target". Additionally, a red target effect will appear on the unit as well. This can be quite damaging if a unit stands still while under its effect. Also, the energy spikes can hurt allies as well, so care must be taken that the player does not lead the energy spike towards his allies.
Major Abilities:
Energy Waves - "Your lives are forfeit. Surrender to despair." The boss will summon various patterns of plasma energy projectiles. These waves will travel in all directions, and often require some agile movements to dodge all incoming projectiles. The further away you are from the boss when he creates these, the easier it is to dodge. At short range, multiple projectiles can hit a unit at the same time causing HEAVY damage. Melee characters beware.
Blink Hammer - "Your doom is only delayed." An aura appears around the boss causing his defenses to drop for a few seconds. When his aura turns green, however, anyone who is attacking him will suddenly be attacked. The boss will blink towards the unit, and slam it hard enough to cause the unit to be knocked back quite far. The boss will continue to instantly blink towards units until the aura wears off.
Spiral Psi Storms - "Cease your foolish struggle. There is no hope." The boss creates a pattern of spirals on the ground and summons numerous psi storms to travel around in the spiral. One spirals from the boss outwards, while another spirals from the outside and in towards the boss. A unit can dodge the psi storms by standing on ground that has no marker on it.
Kamehameha - "Your existence ends this day." The boss charges up a giant energy blast and launches it towards a unit. If it hits, then it will stun all players on the field and also cause the screen to go blinding white for two seconds. However, this energy blast CAN be blocked. All heroes have a "Shield" ability which grants them a shield and makes them invulnerable for 2 seconds. If timed right, the energy blast can be deflected by use of this shield and harmlessly sent away. The other result of deflecting the blast is that the player who deflected becomes super charged with increased attack and movement speed for 30 seconds.
Soul Pylons - "Come my slaves. The time has come to give me your strength" At certain points in the battle, the boss will summon 4 soul pylons and become invulnerable. During this time, the soul pylons will transfer health to the boss, healing him (and damaging themselves in the process). You must destroy the 4 pylons before the boss gains too much health back. After the 4 pylons are destroyed, he will become vulnerable again. Another thing the boss does is summon many dark zealots to come charging at you and buy him some time. More dark zealots are summoned whenever a pylon is destroyed. Destroying all 4 pylons also causes the boss to release an energy nova that kills any remaining dark zealots.
Well, that about covers the boss. You can see the rest in the video, as it gives a good show of everything. Also note that the video is best viewed in 720p.
