Why not try changing how enemies engages you?
Basic or certain zombie-types will only "grab" you and do continuous damage over time, which means you gotta use a knifing ability to get it off you.
Your character can be unable to shoot maybe until you get rid of it. Sorta like how hunters grabs you in l4d.
Since most enemies in the game are slow, having most of em being able to grab is a interesting aspect.
We also need a way to see where teammates are, without relying on minimap.
Maybe have other players "glow" and shows a tiny fog, but it doesn't reveal the area so you can't see what enemies they are attacked by, or what they are attacking (like a person in the fog, but only that person is seen).
Past versions of SC2 used this, when high cliff units attack lower cliff and reveals itself but can't be targetted.
Hey, just wanted to say that I've been enjoying the map a lot lately!
You have invested a lot of time to polish it, and many of the changes have added replayability. My only personal complaint is the major grind to get to a lot of the content. However with a good group you can easily rake in 100xp. Finding the good group is the problem :).
Also your latest map version (as of 5:30pm EST, 3/19/2011) is popping a fair number of trigger errors, and also one player mentioned the inventory being buggy, such as eating items that were dropped.
Thanks for the good words. I just uploaded a patch which should fix the trigger errors. I cut down the script size by 25% and some links had to be re-made.

The next 4 months will be a lower pace update cycle for NOTD as our company focuses on iPhone game development. We'll be returning to active development in Jan'12 to gear up for the Blizzard Mod Marketplace launch. There is a lot of work to be done on NOTD and it is far from finished.

UI vanishes but you can still use and hover over abilities. But yea, annoying.. hopefully going to get fixed soon.
