I've been waiting for a Pokemon map for a very long time, and I've realized that the editor is highly capable of making it possible. I've ran into many problems trying to set up this epic map, and if you guys would want to help make it you could.
I was thinking of the game being a 20 minute setup game with maybe like 20 Pokemon's and a few legendary Pokemon hidden threw out the map. You start as the trainer with three other players on your team, and you pick out your starters. I was thinking of Pokemon as being items that can only be dropped out once at a time, if they faint, they become a different item that is unable to be used. If you want your Pokemon to work again, you bring it to some pokecenter. Your Pokemon fight not turn based, but in a live action kinda of fight. Each Pokemon has up to 4 attacks, use energy with cool downs to fight. Maybe the Pokemon will have 50 levels, and learn attacks by leveling up. Once you weaken the pokemon down, your trainer has a special move that can catch the other Pokemon.
It's like a general Pokemon game, but after 20 minutes, (Don't want the game to take forever) you fight the other 3 trainers with one Pokemon at a time. The winner of the game is the team that beats the other trainers. The editor is capable, but extremely more capable at beta time to make this map. If anyone has the time, it would be a awesome map.
TL;DR: Can someone make a Pokemon map?
EDIT: Cause some people are lazy butts, not a turn based kind of game!
Could you make some paragraphs, please? And I am sort of still tired of Pokemon maps on Bnet from Warcraft 3.
More to the point, I disagree with your Pokemon as items idea, I think this could be done MUCH better with a custom UI (a.k.a. Dialog). This way you could get tool tips with a Pokemon's stats and current condition etc... I think you are underestimating the power of the Galaxy Editor as this could have easily been done even in the World Editor.
The basic idea of a Pokemon map I do not disagree with. One, maybe two, well made Pokemon maps would be nice. But for the love of god don't turn this in to the old BNet with 300 Pokemon maps of every single type. I don't need you to take a well made map and give the units Pokemon names and call it an original map.
After seeing what people were doing with flat sprites (chronocraft) I got really ambitious and attempted to recreate this with the pokemon world. Basically recreating everything from the original red/blue (or the newer fire red) would be very easy with a little bit of know-how. I lack this know-how as I failed for a number of hours trying to get it to work. If anyone has ANY interest in this I have already created sprite images for the "world" map and would be glad to make sprites for the rest of the game. PM me if you have interest.

If you're going to make a Pokemon map... you better be making actual Pokemon models and such. I hate maps that are based on something, but yet they use the basic games graphics. It just would look stupid and utterly pointless without the based-on content.

there was a mini game entry where someone re-created the old school pokemon combat in sc2 .... and it was pretty epic
