I feel sorry for Vrainy's entry, it's much better than the space war one but it's got just slightly over half the votes of it. I think Lights on the Fog deserves to win.
I gotta admit I have soft spot for all things big armadas of spacecraft facing off(and taking the time to scatter the heights of those units to flesh out the 3rd dimension? Sealed the deal for sure). Props though to the revenge video, great use of the game's assets and camera work, I can tell you put a great deal of effort into that production. Sames goes for the Arena, you all got votes from me.
This one features some fantastic use of visuals like showing shadows of opponents battle(that is for sure a big highlight) but it doesn't really have any sort of narative beyond that. Sure its Zeratul watching his protoss fight a futile battle against some group of Zerg but it just that. Why doesn't he get in there himself and just butcher the ultralisk like we all know he can? Etc.
Ah yes your video, I took a look at it this morning and you're right pretty sweet depth of field usage. I'm encoding a recording right now for you :) Let me know once you have it so I can remove the attachment, next step is just upload it yourself with youtube and give the heads up to Programmer with the link and I'm sure he'll add it to the line up.
PS: That scene where the first marine starts firing after the air support dies off...great stuff for sure.
(My most sincere apologies to site admin if this file is a wee bit bigger then the usual attachment, I really don't know the desired protocol for exchanging such things)
Yah it takes a ridiculously beefy computer to both show and record the actions going on in a game, fortunately I sorta have such :) I'm sorry about the letter box recording its a byproduct of the windows movie maker software converting 1280x1024 to 720P, but hey you have a video now and speed is of the essence eh? :)
I had a really hard time choosing between Lights In the Fog and Eiviyn's space battle, but went with the first eventually. I can't believe it only has two votes, imo none of the other videos (except obviously Eiviyn's space battle) even came close to that one. The way the camera rolls, the play with the fog and even the shot of the shadows fighting... you need a director's eye to come up with that stuff. The whole point about that video is that it's an 'epic battle' without actually ever directly showing the epic battle, and that is hard to pull off.

I vote for Lights In the Fog by Vrainy ;)
I voted for Eiviyn's space battle. Would like to be in a map as just one of those fighters in an intense dogfight.

Still haven't gotten any one to record my scene. That might be why I have zero votes

I'm really sorry for that :( And the votes seem to be reset somehow :(
Added cameroni's video
