This is going to be my thread for my version of The Black Road for Starcraft 2. In no way is this at all related to The Black Road for WC3, it is a separate game with separate heroes and a different name.
I really enjoyed The Black Road for WC3 and I always wanted to make an RPG, so with the release of SC2 I can finally do just that.
Name : Gauntlet RPG
Features Currently Implemented :
– Custom Heroes
– Custom Map
– Custom UI
Features to Come :
– Save / Load System
– Custom Quests
– Custom Items
– Custom Cinematics
– Option to use click to move, or WASD movement

This will be a level based RPG with a twist. While you fight through hordes of enemies and complete quests given to you by the local towns people (among others), you will have to defend your towns (yes plural) from an invading enemy fleet. You must use a builder unit to build turrets along the designated paths to protect the people you love and their homes.
Waves will come and predefined intervals. If a ship manages to break through your defenses and reaches the end zone, a predefined about of units will spawn to the nearest town. Once specific buildings and units are destroyed in a town the town is destroyed. You will receive experience from killing mobs throughout the map, killing the enemy fleet that comes, or by keeping your cities alive. You will gain experience at predefined intervals according to how many cities you still have.
There will be 6 custom playable heroes, with many custom items and custom abilities. At certain levels, your hero will upgrade to a new and better hero.
Based on how many players are in the game, the difficulty will increase or decrease. This will be a single player game, but the more powerful loot will not drop as much as it would if you were to have a full group. If heroes are working together, experience will be split among the group for each mob kill.

That about sums it up for now, I will be thinking of new ideas as I go along. I am always looking for people to help me out. I have one person on the team right now that is working on the map to make it more playable, and user friendly.
