Hey bounty, you actually made a pretty cool map :D
Add indications for stuff. I think you could experiment with minimap (showing both discs and player units). So you wouldnt get hit by random discs that you didnt see.
Also add indications (timer or something) when you can throw discs after you die and shield timer.

I think the best advice is to sit back and ask yourself; would you play this? We're not talking testing here, we're talking recreational entertainment for hours. If no; don't release it. I learnt that lesson over and over again.

I'd say about 90% of people who played ended up playing regularly, we almost never got new players and it just sort of died out because we get ZERO new players. Would have been nice if Idra, Huk, puCK or Spyte would have helped advertise/promote the map since they play it.
Great map, and don't fret it's not over just because you're not popular today. Keep promoting and putting it in front of people. Like you said, when people play it they have a good time and want to play more. I played w. some guys from work when you were in "beta" and it was a hit. The progression rewards should help too, as a way to increase individual play time.
Another great way to boost play time is to make it so the game isn't over when a match is won. Just send people right back to the game setup stage - that way if people are having fun they will KEEP doing that, they're less likely to get back into the glue screens and drift off/forget/fail to get a match/etcetc.
One last thing...
I am an old school pc gamer, so I learned mouse-look as inverted from day 1. I simply CANNOT PLAY in non-inverted mode. So as soon as I get into the gameplay and stop consciously thinking about how to look up/down, my camera becomes my worst enemy. At first I was like "Bounty should add mouse invert"... but then I was like... "why do you even need to look up/down in this game?". Have you considered this already? If you just had a good pitch that was locked, and use mouse for left-right looking, I think gameplay would be the same but you'd not have to deal with camera pitch at all.

Learn to deal with your camera then. Learn to play the other way, to defeat your enemy. Because looking up/down brings the good feel of RPG in yourself. That you can look however/wherever you want without limits.
At some point you will realize that the genre you have been rehashing is simply not attractive to most BNET players. You seem talented, try something else.

- Spawn Immunity now lasts longer but can be broken at any time by attacking.
- Replaced Sprint with Turbo Cycle Morph. Players can now transform into a cycle leaving a trail of electricity behind them while in this form. This trail will kill any players or discs who across it.

I am glad that you still work on this marvelous project! I so much wished this game to be on the 1st or 2nd page in most popular for EU... but not all the players know of it... The EU version also needs to be updated.

None of the models use their glow effect in the map so thats perfectly fine :)

As of last night, Photon Discs has left open beta and is now public release.
Both EU and US both have the full release version..
Well, as usual after i add tons of content the game dies.

Have you tried posting this at team liquid forums? I am pretty sure the exposure there is higher then here and in Bnet's official forums
