I got the brilliant idea of making a monopoly map, hurrya, huzzah! Got the map layout complete atm, and working on triggering everything. Running in some things tho.
- what to name the locations people can buy? I'd like to have them somewhat related to sc2, any ideas?
- I can't seem to figure out how to adjust the number of resources a player has
Nice work so far, my suggestion because i think location wise there is not enough content, for the 3 section areas use a building in 1/3 parts so if you own all 3 parts the building used to produce or something along those lines so that you would need to invest in it somehow.
you could alternatively not worry too much about str8 model / specific names and go a little 'outside the box' for instance;
baltic would be named "SCV Bob's Shanty" etc...
Boardwalk could be named "Kerrigans Penthouse"
then the buildings you get like houses etc would bpertain to the specific race, the scv would get supply depots as houses and a command center as a hotel, the zerg places would get their respective structures.
just another avenue.....
to set resources the trigger is under the 'player' category called "modify player property"
how did you get the colors to show up on each piece of property? are those imported pictures / color block things you used??
The colors on the properties are custom textures I made. The one you see on the right however is not a texture, but creep. You can only have 8 custom textures and that wasn't enough, so I had to be a bit creative there :)
The red arrow is an existing doodad that I gave a custom color.

There are a couple ways to do it, via triggers its found in the modify players property trigger (unit players catagory) for effects (via behaviors and the like) its under Modify Player Effect, ethier way will allow you to easily modfiy player minerals, vespine gas, supply, and so on.
I was thinking each player could just select the piece they want. I do want each piece to be unique, so you don't have for example 4 marines walking the board
Might I make your life harder suggest that the houses/hotels a player builds match their piece's race?
I've been thinking about that, but it might get confusing if there are 8 different types of buildings on the board... I like the idea tho, but not sure about it yet..

The trainstations will be named after the supercarriers that brought the Terran to the Koprulu Sector

I changed the way the colors are made, I used decal-doodad #4 with custom colors and custom size. This way I get to use the textures for other stuff.
Working on the dice now.

Looking awesome, very impressive so far.
- Have you thought what unit's you'll have for players yet? If memory served Monopoly had - Car, Iron, Boat etc. etc.
- What's going to be the highest valued places right by the end? The purples one.
- What are you going to have for the 4 stations?
