what ever makes it more fun.... points are good. but dont make them too falsh..... I like the leveling up gun system you showed in the first video long ago..
I like the feel of the game . Id have to say shoot for fun.
possibly "stage" selection after youve completed the game ... and multi player

It also help gameplay and funfactor, let alone replayability.
But another thing is also about if it should be IR (black / white) style or color

I wouldn't necessarily call it original but its a diffrent take on the usuall stuff.
But hey... it might change a bit when i say this is a killstreak reward in AC130K Ruins which is being finalized atm.
Its super awsome with a 4 man crew in a tps, killing off zombies when suddenly one of the players get a BattleCruiser and can aid the team from the air for 60 sec.
Thought it does have friendly fire so the player have to take care and not aim "danger-close" with the big guns.
But another thing is also about if it should be IR (black / white) style or color
You could have a Night Vision option. E.g. you could play the map / a stage in darkness, thus having to using the Night Vision. It'd be a bit boring if there's always be the black/white style.

Score would really make it awesome. (it would be like one of the call of duty 4's level)
And zombies would be awesome too. Zombies is always a nice thing in fun maps like this.D
Also I think any kind of player versus player mode is more replayable then a coop.
Player versus player mode could be similar to the map rabbits and sheep in w3, where if you killed a unit than 2 spawned at the other team. (to prevent a lag here, you could make stronger units to spawn instead of 2)

The IR vs Color.... i think a mix would be good..... possibly on color'd mission its a different type of gunner? Like an open canopyd drop ship or someething....
A mix wouldnt be bad but the grey scale all the time would get kinda boring.... I wanna see some fire trails and blood splatter....
I would play this game like it was the tetris of SC2 gore... and i like my gore in color

I'm actually working on a map right now that is similar to Risk and trying using this system, I'll keep you guys posted, it's still in early beta but we're already on the 8th or so page from just testing :P
Vs mode on a game like this would have to ... score based.... accuracy / kills = score IMO since it appears that the levels would be time based....
accuracy / kills would suck. I like to shoot like a mad man:D
I dont think it should be score based, my idea would probably work too. You have to protect the convoy. Every time you kill a unit the zombies spawned on the other side will spawn with one more hp for example, it would be really like who can survive longer with a little twist. If you do it with accuracy than noobs in your team would be real pain.
Latest vids look awesome. I feel like this should be an HL2 mod and not an sc2 map, seeing as how you'll have all the limitations of RTS engine etc... perhaps in this sense more 'arcade' style would be good since bnet is not a 15ms latency server with hitbox prediction etc...
Please stick to the "terran fights invading zerg" concept instead of "play god and shoot random dudes"...
Part from that i suggest a coop mode, where 1 player has to protect the convoy from above, another one is manning the cannon on the convoy itself and maybe a third one which operates an anti air cannon to defend (though i dont know if there are skybox textures at all to make it look good)

What is with all this ac130k stuff? The series looks fantastic but what up with the name?
Once Blizzard sees these videos, they may finally realize how important it is they at least make some progress on latency.
