Hello everyone, I am the head manager of the team, which is developing Warcraft III remake mod at the moment.
WarCraft: Armies Of Azeroth is Starcraft II based remake of WarCraft III, which adds new gameplay features, but saves original balance and graphical design with massive use of resources created by Blizzard Entertainment
Also it is planned to use the mod as an assets pack for modmakers in order to allow them to create their own SC2 maps in WC3 setting.
Holy... The great thing about this is that it isn't just a compilation of wc3 or WoW models slapped onto the SC2 engine. The art actually looks consistent and fitting. It's amazing. How much % is finished?
Once you have enough resources I'll make a campaign for you.
I've uploaded a mod file named "WC3 Music" that contains all WarCraft 3 music files and custom playlists for each race. It'll shave 71mb off the amount of account space you're using.
Of course, that offer is open to anyone who wants to add WC3 music to their map, too.
Whoa, awesome! Love how everything seems to be custom models (instead of ported WC3/WoW ones). I hope this'll make it through, seen many WC3 mods die, but it looks like you've made a lot of progress already!
I am sure that Heroes of the Storm uses some wc3 musics, i don't know if they have higher quality of the originals or they are 100% the same (for
Higher quality i mean things like the scbw music ported in sc2 by blizzard, the quality of sounds is better and There are more instruments playing)
How do you plan on implementing Blight though? As far as I'm aware, no one has succeeded yet [citation needed].
As far as I recall it's pretty much mechanically similar to how creep works. I can't really remember if there was even anything different about the two besides movement speed.
So you'd just have to change how it interacts with certain models, that's about it, I think.
Looks quite good. I hope this could give SC2 a much needed boost in map making, because of all the new particles you guys will hopefully bring along.
I can't really remember if there was even anything different about the two besides movement speed.
I suppose the only other difference is that blight grows in just a few seconds and stays in the area until dispelled.
Also, just a question: is the asset pack you mentioned going to include units, so that people could make melee maps for the mod, or just the assets themselves? Either way that's very generous of you, I feel there's currently a lack of fantasy models for SC2 (besides WoW/HotS ones)
Apart from giving regen to Undead units, it also changed the blighted terrain to the base cliff tile. So if you blighted a tile that used Ashenvale Grass, it would become Ashenvale Dirt after you built over or dispelled it. Unless you use triggers to change the tiles, I'm not sure if this can be done with just data alone.
Of course this is all just nitpicking though. Not a big issue.
Did you see the Ninja apparition of the Blademaster at Blizzcon?
More WoWish your models? Just a bit, they are so near to the WC3 ones... I am too afraid that also this project will stop half done or less... Like "WarCr4ft: A new dawn" and tons of other wc3 remakes, i see that this is the best looking one ever made on sc2, i really hope it will see the full release on a melee contest with a decent AI to play against if you don't find other players..."
Are you on Kickstarter? I would surely found this project

Barracks model for sure is heavily edited from WoW barracks model. Townhall and Barracks uses WoW roof texture, edited enough for sure.
Its just beta in progress and its cool

That's pretty damn impressive for just an alpha.

Carry on the good fight.

People will be able to make any maps they want on the basis of our mod.
@Gorandor: Go

Our models have much more details and they are much more WoWish than these
Did you see the Ninja apparition of the Blademaster at Blizzcon?
I was on the Warcraft New Dawn Team. I might be able to lend some data aid.
Nice job. Are you make the campaing too?
Yup, but when a lot of stuff will be finished.
