Oh ok, now it's all clear :D
I've noticed that there was a hole inside the cliff that was impossible to make, maybe with terrain objects but I'm not sure about that.
How did u work on the cave, did u make a simple cave model and applied the sc2 textures on it? How much the cave model is sized in kb?
Your terraining skills far exceed mine in many ways. I'm currently building a single player RPG that has multiplayer capability somewhere in the future. The map consists of many caves and tunnels and This map has just the right feel of the outdoors segments. What I'm really asking is if you would be willing to join my team of one to do the terraining. PM me If you are interested.

Try or Try not, there is no do for procastinators.
It's a shame we can't do farclip without a big black wall appearing in the back :(
And fog doesn't blend into the sky either... I ran into all these problems with my WoW tutorial... Also a shame we can't set lighting on a per player basis...
But you have a nice computer so it can even record and have such a long view with it still being playable :D
Love good terrain! Keep it up.
Also, the size of an sc2map is so small compared to even one region in WoW... we'd have to like chainlink multiple sc2 maps into one RPG haha.
p.s. my computer isn't that great. I've a 3 years old 8800GTX and a Q6600 Quad Core CPU.
The performence over all isn't that bad in tps games, just the ground objects are a big problem, so we need a streaming engine.
But I've heard that a team here at sc2mapster is actually working on a camera based streaming system, which fades out objects you can't see. If they can make this working we can build amazing RPGs, combining multiple areas to create a whole RPG world.
This is very impressing. Are you going to add something to this map?
Yes I will add more stuff to the map, maybe a city or something like that. I will try to find solutions for a lot of things you need for a RPG game. If you have Ideas what would be great after dungeons let me know.
I can see you need to do change some priority flags on some of the models (to avoid that fade in/out when you get too close)
But keep up the good work.
Looks beautiful! Im hoping to make an RPG like this, as this is certainly one of the best iv seen. Unfortunately all the tutorials so far are lacking in customization :( . Iv got alot to learn, but well done!

Sounds similar to my computer, had an 8800 GTS that just died a week or so (so I hijacked my wife's graphics card) and I'm using the Q6700. It gets the job.
Hello, I introduce myself, I am Etienne and i am french.
So, sorry for my english and if i speak very bad.
I have a project and it consiste to reproduce Warcraft III campaign with the editor of Starcraft II (the editor of Warcraft III is not powerful) and with the model of WOW thanks to wowmodelviewer which can convert M2 to M3. I am not very strong with the editor of Starcraft II but I discover this site and your video which is awesome. That's why I expose you my project if anybody wants to begin the adventure. Terrain, models, sound will be import from WOW, Voice from Warcraft III. When i see this video I think it's very possible to do that. I hope you will comment this project and tell me if it's possible or no and if you are interrested.

lol
This looks great.
2 Questions:
1: How do you make the roof of the dungeon?
2: The lightning change effects is region based or trigger based?
the entrance and the first cave are mad out of rock arches, the mountain at the entrance and the roof of the main cave are custom models I've created.
The lightning and dynamic music is based of regions

But nothing with scripting :)

Yeah I'm on basically the same setup... our comps may be 3 years old but they were pretty expensive in their time...
That fading system will be sweet if it happens!

Ah that's what I was looking for, I had no Idea how to stop that fading. Can you pls tell me more about the priorities and how I can fix this?
EDIT: Ah got it now, it's the CModel_Occlusion which controlls the fade, I'm pretty sure that I've tried this but now the fading is gone :D
