The technical dimension (which is obviously what's to be highlighted here) is really well executed. Very inspiring project to say the least, although the actual gameplay value is (currently?) lacking some imo.
This map is unlocked to the public so anyone who wants to do something with it, you may! This map was just an idea started long ago and is now abandoned. Feel free to pick it up.
There's no gameplay, this is just a tech demo.
The map won't stay online forever, it'll probably be deleted later on..
Yup works fine now! This looks really awesome, I'll have to take a peak at how you did some of this.
Edit: The first time you open it you might need to download TDmod.sc2mod or just try and open it a second time cause the first time might bombard you with errors.
Edit: wouaow :P Thats nice ! I wished this could be like, multiple planets you could zoom in and out and fly between and battle on.. like, place colony building that gathers on the planet and gives you cash and you zoom out to go elsewhere, then defend your colony from whatever... the possibilities are great here (depending if that would support multiple planets) but even if its just one, there are alot of possibiliies.
That's actually a great idea! Planetary Warfare, it is actually quite possible to do that. Once you figure out how the map works, you could resize the planet to smaller, and then duplicate the planet. Make new triggers to switch from planet to planet. Then make buildings to launch fighters and ships... and defenses to shoot down invaders. And also buildings to launch interplanetary missiles.
It is a very good idea, I may go ahead and do it in the future...maybe. :) I really like that idea. The more I think about it, the more I like it. :)
Ended up doing a risk board game with the map. There's a slight problem with region highlighting. So this map really isn't that playable because regions don't always get highlighted/selectable when you mouse over it. However, it looks cool! And that's all that matters. Even made a pie chart just to see a pie chart with the game engine.
