Origins is a works in progress map and my take on a submission for the MiniGame contest.
The map itself is quite simple, eat or be eaten.
The more you eat, the bigger you grown and the more features you get.
Im using the lastest version of my fx-vissuals library which will be release soon, including vingetting, filmgrain and dynamic camera movement to name a few.
At the current stage there is no offensive mobs.. but they will come soon.
I also plan to add some simple powerups just to give the game some flavor.
(i recommend you hit that little HD button and see it in fullscreen + high quality)

Anyway the concept is cool, however it's kinda boring, you should increase the speed and the unit turning speed :)
Its acturally purposefully that i made it this slow..
Its one of thoes, sit back, and relaxe games.
I could offcause add a "steroids" button that made everything a bit more action packed.
it looks amazing. The eating is a bit off, but other than that - its great! What I mean by "its off" is that sometimes you go right above the unit without eating it and sometimes you eat it, even though its to the side of your "mouth". I am sure you will clean it up and polish it, so I am not worried at all.
Ye, the eating is off.
I think im going to do some polar offsets for the mouth instead of just the position of the unit.
Wanted to do that for the enemy attackers also.
Should introduce the spore mechanic where as you grew the entire world around you changes. I found that to be so cool, seeing colossal shadows in the background and then evolving and having them turn out to be still massive predators.
Ah, very nice clone of that flash game. Looks excellent. You should see if you could get the text effects like the original game as an overlay for a title instead of just doing normal text at the bottom left.

Nice. Is the black around the edges a camera filter in the game (if so, how did you do it?) or did you add that later?
It's a visual library that has yet to be released, it says it in the OP (vignetting)
