PS: Did you spell Vespene right yet? I keep seeing Vespane ingame.
Would you mind pointing out where the typos are? I thought I caught them.
And yeah, sensors are not meant to stack if they are from your vehicle. So having 2 sensor items should always be useless. They are meant to stack with an ally's sensor though.
[Blizzard] Empty inventory items have no empty face.
[Blizzard] Major graphics bug with differently sized inventories.
[Blizzard] Spider mines have no team colour.
[Blizzard] Can't remove shield icon on unit info pane.
Healing item graphic does not show on the correct unit.
Aircraft decelerate when upgrading items.
If you've found a bug or something you just dislike, please inform me and if I agree, I'll add it to this list. It gives me some clear objective list to work through rather than randomly making changes as they come into my mind.
Thank you for your continued feedback. It's been amazingly helpful!
can you make the middle like an X not like a + please.. the pathing right now is not fit for a + xD
I'm probably going to have to remake the whole terrain at some point. The layout just doesn't seem optimal anymore. I have this nice idea of a mar'sara landscape with deep canyons and interspersed abandoned terran outposts, with 2 derelict strongholds at either side of the map. The whole map would have a refinery/disused mine feel to it, with pipes running through and around the landscape and gaping holes from past excavations.
Hi there Eiviyn. I really enjoy playing your map, but I'd just like to pick up on one problem I experienced which may or may not of been touched upon before.
I once was playing a game and had to go idle for about 30 minutes. I had only been playing 10 minutes before hand. When I came back I had very basic items and chassis's compared to all other players (3v3, the rest weres still playing). From this position of nothing, I had like 100k+ minerals from my "income over time". I was able to quickly and easily tech up to seemingly the same level as all other players. Me returning to the game after 30 minutes meant my team was able to almost instantly push against the opponents and win the game pretty easily in about 5 to 10 minutes after my return.
I found this odd, that a player who had not even been playing was able to catch up SO easily. I (along with some others I see) believe that the income over time is too great, where-as the reward for hero kills and unit kills in terms of minerals is too low.
My suggestion would be to either make income over time lower/slower and compensate by giving players better mineral rewards for actually playing the game. Though I'm sure you'd have your own way of tackling this.
@WhiskyEU: Go
i think its rather disturbing that someone just goes afk for 30 minutes..
okay found the teleport "bug" you have to stop completely to do it. meaning aircraft cannot blink instantly. i dont say thats a bad thing.. just something you need to know before you wonder why it didnt work.

eek, best if you're doing this to simply create a second map altogether so people can still play the original if they want to (there's always going to be someone not happy with changes, so if you change the whole map... )
Indeed. I plan to sort out the issues with this current style and then re-release the map under a new name since Catalyst: Cityscape doesn't really fit what I have in mind.
I'd just update items/balance with both maps at the same time using the new mod functionality. Shall see, anyway. Reskinning a whole new terrain will take me weeks if not months with the pace I terrain at, so it's not exactly something on the tip of completion.

Something like this maybe?
I've been working on this for about 2.5 weeks. Not exactly the same gameplay as yours but somewhat similar.
I haven't had the chance to play your current version being on NA battle.net so for give my ignorance, but whats the purpose of such large base areas? Is there a significant role in that area that it needs to be so large on a rather large map? If it's just a shop area, wouldn't a smaller base give you more room to work with in the combat areas? And why so large a map?
I actually like the Arcology-esque map, but I see what Ryaneko was saying... you used north-south/east-west ramps, which are not great for LoS purposes... and yeah a full rework would be required to put the map into an X formation rather then a +. I learned that one early on. ;)

The reason the map is so open and large is just because I like battles with lots of lateral movement.
... I too like that your maps have a more open battleground... that doesn't, however, explain why the base areas are so large. Do battles take place within the bases as well as out on the field?
I'd offer my help in terraining as doing it for a map like that would be downright awesome, but even if you wanted my help, you don't really need it - the terrain I've seen in the released map really ranks as one of the most awesome playable terrains I've seen, beaten only by showcases. Regardless, keep up the good work, the map's still as awesome as ever.

His terrain template looks great. I dislike new template you did Evy. Current one is also really good. It would be great to have like current one and something the one zenasprime made :P . Then you can just pick one.

This is the current layout, minus a few minor changes.
The reason the map is so open and large is just because I like battles with lots of lateral movement.

The base layout is one of the main reasons I want to redesign the map layout.
