If so, maybe even after resume, fake pause slightly the game (ie, make units stay where they are) or smth so everyone can react accordingly, maybe even flagging the player somehow.
The pause key is detectable. I have yet to find a way to detect pausing from the option menu, and the particular layout file that defines the pause button is locked.
Please bring back the old floor! The new black floor is giving me a headache. Everyone I play with says the same.
I liked the old version better in general; you didn't have to think about the settings and it worked well.
People are leaving games very quickly now and I'm afraid it's going to really kill the player count.
My advice:
-use old version blue floor
-keep only first 2 vehicles
-keep only survival, slayer
Haven't tried no gaps, or barrier death yet.
Ludicrous speed is fun, but gets to be too much.
Didn't like barrier decay at all.
Honestly, I'd be happy if the old version was back; no options.
The old version was so amazingly good it didn't need anymore options... this is just going to hurt the playerbase
The old floor did not render correctly on lower graphic settings. demonstrated . I made a minor update a few minutes ago to reduce the brightness of the floor tile seams, however, since some people's eyes apparently hemorrhage from the overwhelming beauty of it.
The new version doesn't require thought; you can simply hit Finished as soon as the game begins.
I can understand that some people are aversive to change, but note that the old way of playing is still accessible with Survival and Round enabled. Personally, I only play Survival and Slayer without any options, because those are the most compelling and competitive modes of play. But I would be a poor host if I didn't acknowledge that a significant vocal portion of the community requested new features and modes of play, so in the spirit of fostering a productive report, I implement the features I think are good and do not undermine the core gameplay.
Maps that make use of custom mods, in this case a mod with music files, are less stable on battlenet (because it's a terribly, terribly damaged system) and cause random drops during loading. I may be forced to remove music if this continues to be a problem.
I'm sorry, but I have to say I dislike the gameplay changes. :/
The options and the music are great, but I think a huge chunk of skill and tension got taken from the game by making it practically impossible to navigate through longer mazes. I guess the motivation was to aim for shorter matches and faster paced gameplay, but imo it really doesn't work out.
+1 for upload of the old version.
Don't listen to them. The new changes are AMAZING, brings so much more to the map. Floor looks awesome, so does the wall barrier, new ships are sweet and I LOVE the new options. BRILLIANT.
Okay, I'm not gonna be so dramatic as the hound above me. :D
But I really think that the majority does not like this change. Oh, I heard complaints about the ground as well, but I couldn't care less.
Well, seems like you lost a couple of regular players. :/ I'm curious about the feedback from TL, maybe you change your mind when more people complain.
I loved bobbing and weaving in and out of the middle of the map "through the storm", making constant "impossible turns".
It's still possible to go through the gaps, but nearly impossible to do anything mindblowing.
This is something that benefits those that couldn't go through gaps at a high level before.
It was extremely fun playing your map, thanks for that. I can't play this anymore, though.
I logged on bnet just to see whats going on. And I have to agree with people, you have done changes that serve no purpose at all. I didnt feel like the game had drastically changed, but I felt like the changes didnt improve anything, maybe even made things worse.
Having different cars is ok. But I hate the options and the narrower cap size made it even harder, which is not good!
I also asked people in chat what they thought and they agreed. They didnt really like the changes.
Before it had perfect length...and its a simple game...dont try to make it something more than it can be ;/
I see you put allot of work into the last update, and well, I do see some people that didn't like it. Overall I do enjoy the update and work you put into the map, although the only thing I didn't like was the shorter gaps, but I will get used to them.

Is pause detectable via triggers?

Go play Antioch Chronicles Remastered!
Also, coming soon, Antioch Episode 3: Thoughts in Chaos!
Dont like mapster's ugly white? Try Mapster's Classic Skin!

Don't you wanna let us test on EU too? :)
Could you possibly release the old version so we can choose which version to play?

yes don't listen to the majority :D
i have a group of 7 friends, we all play together 4-5 times a week... they all hate this new version: "game is ruined" is the consensus
if both versions are available to play, everyone is happy :)
I still navigate the gaps and clutter with impunity, haha. Short gaps may make it more challenging, but it is far from impossible.
EDIT: I don't maintain old versions of the map, so even if I thought it a good idea to divide the playerbase for my map, I couldn't.
