perfect thanks everything is set up but i think this lil glitch in the editor doesn't allow apply behavior straight from effect-instant and ability behavior doesn't work either but the behavior if i just make it on him at spawn and applies to units around him and it stays on him and gets removed from units around him but this just isnt working because of the ability tab
someone already did this i n the data assets forum but it comes with some other abilities so if you really one i can just make it t he single ability not the 4
hey Chicago i started working on the desalisk no problem yet but haven't got to the hard part yet sadistic sorry for the long hold up i wouldn't be surprised if you got someone else to do it or did it yourself this one single problem is kinda pissing me off
Can I request an ability? I want it organized so I can learn how you did it. Put it on any protoss unit, zealot if you want. I'll call it raise the dead.
-The unit places monolith or obelisk(mini in size) wherever it's clicked, he has to be within melee distance. Wards have 150 health
-This obelisk/monolith has a 30% chance of raising the dead as spirits for the unit that cast it. Spirits have 180 health and 5 armor, they also do not die over time
-Only 3 spirits at one time(level 2 will allow for 5 spirits), one monolith/obelisk at a time(level 2 allows for 2 obelisks/monoliths)
-Spirits gain a health and attack boost each level of the spell, so for level 2 add say 20 health and 5 attack
-the range of which the monolith/obelisk can raise the dead is 8, not sure if that's big or small
-the dead are raised back as spirits, which can be preservers or tasadar
-cooldown of 5 seconds(although that's probably not really necessary, along with mana cost of 200(although for testing purpose it could be 20)
-spirits will follow the owner, zealot or whatever unit you choose, and attack if any enemy comes in range even if the owner ignores them
I think that's it. I have two heroes that I've been trying to make this spell for, one has spirits the other uses their corpses(one hero is protoss the other is zerg)
if a unit dies in range a spirit spawns. How could I miss the simple part like that? I had it written and then I reorganized and I missed it. So if a unit dies within range of the monolith/obelisk there is a chance that a spirit will spawn.

Anytime is good. I might be taking a break from the editor anyways because LittleBigPlanet 2 comes out tuesday so that's something that can keep me entertained.

PS: one little thing you need to know you cant just add the ability to another hero you need to add the buttons with the requirements and the behaviors have to be on the hero but im sure you can figure it out

It is on as long as units are around him only, as soon as they walk out of range it shuts off sir!

i just want a ability which shoots a projectile which when comes into contact with a wall or person, applies damage and destroys itself.
i dont care about how it looks or anything because i want to see how it is done and change the things accordingly for myself
Or an easier option is if u can redirect me to somewhere where i CAN learn how to do this using the data editor.

WOOT LBP 2! BTW Im back... so, I have the desalisk done as well in the editor, but I just need those abilities. Im just making sure...
-Do you have the upgrade that makes four parasites spawn?
-Do you have the upgrade that allows a new attack to commence- one that causes a baneling blast to explode after hitting the target?
-Are the abilities all there?
