So I remade the template and .csv file and it didnt work. However, when I tested the manager using the experience tome, it didnt work then either.
Here is the new .csv file and template along with pictures of the error.
your tool will be extremely helpful for me.... when it works. Thanks for your time.
Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I'm not sure why the TomeOfExperience didn't work. The error message doesn't seem to make sense. Did you try it multiple times? lol.
Your csv needs to have COMMAs instead of SEMICOLONs. CSV=Comma Separated Value. In other words, it contains stuff separated by commas. You also should not use quotes. Your csv should look like this:
Oh, well I guess it might've been a problem with one of the settings I had for OpenOffice, cuz i did it in spreadsheet. Thanks a ton.
Tried it ad it worked. It turns out that Open Office uses Text Delimiters, which is why there are quotes.
Another Error Report :3
I replaced the data in the old map with the new data. There might be a problem in the template that I made, because i tried to make it so that I could set a base unit.
From what I saw so far, the Template seemed to work fine. There's a few problems I found, that all have to do with you copying stuff into your map incorrectly:
at the top of each XML file, there should be a document tag like "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="us-ascii"?>"
the contents of each XML file should be enclosed in <Catalog>...</Catalog> tags.
you copied abilities into ActorData.xml. you copied behaviors into ButtonData.xml and into EffectData.xml. You must have accidentally copied the wrong stuff from the XML that my program outputted.
I fixed the first two problems for you, and uploaded the new version of your map. I trust that you can fix the third problem on your own. :)
I wanted to let you know this tool has saved me gobs of time! I have used your hero template extensively and customized it to fit my map.
I did run into one issue with turning all protoss units, except for zeratul, into heroes. I just removed the unit data xml when using it on them and it worked fine.
Aside from that, it has worked flawlessly! I will indeed include your name at the top of the list when I release my map, thanks a ton!
I cannot get this INFERNAL CONTRAPTION working without a map path it says my Variables are blank, which there not My UnitID to INT PerLevel is filled out for all 4 hero's.
With a map path it say's Source directory C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Mods\StarCraft 2 Data Manager\Maps\Hero's Quest.SC2Map does not exist or is not a directory.
I Copied the provide HeroTemplate.csv in Custom Items & XML files in the Templates, Renaming & modified them. HeroTemplate was renamed to HeroQuestTemplate.csv the HeroTemplate in Templates folder was renamed to HeroQuestTemplate and the XML's inside changed the Intelligence to Energy, Strength to Vitality, and Agility to Durability. I did that for the HeroQuestTemplate.csv and both the BehaviorData.xml and the UnitData.xml so that shouldn't be the problem.
My Projects:
Sorted Multiplayer Leader Board
Card Shuffle Dialog Demo
Air Wars Mass
Blizzard Fan since Starcraft. The Single Player story is AMAZING IMO, I can't wait for the Expansions. In Warcraft 3 I only enjoy the Custom Maps scene (& Blizzards...
I can Export the XML's to the Output Folder now, but how do I load them into my map from the Output Folder or Directly.
Thanks for the Help.

The current version of the Data Manager cannot open regular SC2Map files. It can only open maps that are saved as component folders. To save your map as a folder, open your map in the Starcraft 2 Editor, and click Save As. Select "Editor Component Lists". Put the folder's path in the MapPath. The Data Manager should now be able to output XML into your map.
Thanks a ton now I got the Hero Levels data in my map. I'm looking forward to your continued development of this great tool.

Well that's interesting... Please upload your map's XML files to this thread so that I can see what might have gone wrong.

Thanks a ton... I should've caught that.

I had a problem, but I fixed it myself! Aren't you proud of m, MP?
@TatorRiot: Nice. I'm glad to hear it. I'm not sure what went on with the protoss units, but I'll look into it.
@jaxter184: :) Yup, I'm proud. Keep it up.

Does development of this tool continue? I still continually use it for easy and fast unit/hero creation
