What kind of coloring are you hoping for? Tinting? or actual painting of the icon into a full colored picture?
Ideally, the latter. But, we all know that would take way too much time. The former is perfectly acceptable. Though, I do hope for something in between.
@UltiDrgn:
That's a lot of files... lol. Not sure if i have time to work on that. Maybe you can invest on a program that generates it for you.. xD
Mite be able to just make quick and dirty maps, just so you can start putting your models ingame, if that's what you're looking for.
Flamethrower must be yellow, but can have green barrel, green barrel with blaze, blue blaze, and red balze.
Pulse/microwave weapon can be green or blue.
Yes, the static portrait is an image by itself. Assuming the "Mercenary Firebats portrait diffuse" that you changed is the right file (the diffuse map for the animated portrait model), it'll only change the animated portrait's appearance.
Could someone make a few icons? I need a soul hunter wireframe. I also need something like the tosh consumption icon but in color and with protoss instead of Tosh, if you can just color the tosh one I'm good with that.
A duplicate zergling model using different texture file paths may not have the freezing issues. I think the problem is only when you try to replace existing game files.
I'll look into it, but lately i've been swamped with real-life work.
I reduced down from 1024x1024 - not like I needed that much detail to begin with.
There's still 5mb worth there, have fun! :X

Something in between would be like using a few applications of paint bucket here and there in addition to playing with tints.
Can you make for me 4 versions of flamethrower icon (like terran infantry upgrade)? I need 4 versions of pulse/microwave weapon too.

can you specify colors or something?
@onisagi: Go
Anything's better than what I have now, that's for sure =P

Colors like on terran infantry weapons
First w/o blaze and other:

Sorry if this is the wrong place
If I recolor the Mercenary Firebats portrait diffuse will it change the static portrait or the animated portrait?
Won’t it change the animated one because the static portrait is just a picture while the 3D portrait is an actual model, right?

there's already a red infernal preigniter, and if you look at the front page, there are a wide selection of blue ones.
Hey Guys, I was thinking about is it possible now to make the Texture to the zergling? or does the editor do crazy stuff when you import it?

It is okay, just take your time. (;
