Don't worry I found out the 'halls of origination' (a new raid in cata?) has egypt themed models and props and bosses. So I'm DLing the WoW trial just so i can model-view. Funny looking back at WoW since I played it from 2004-2007 and haven't touched it since. So much looks the same yet it seems different...
i want to ask anybody know how should i export from 3ds max models as .m3 I saved some .wmo building as .obj and i can open them in 3dsmax and i downloaded the .m3 pluggin. But as i'm totaly noob about it i need help. If i be able to do this i could upload some building model for here in the summer. And of course when there will be summer, i will upload every model i imported from wow. Just i need to end this schhol year :S.
I have models for the folowing:
warrcraft 1, 3 cataclysm, wrath of the lich king units and doodoads and some not .wmo buildings.
Some interior models, tables, bookcases, ect, would be very nice to have. Also, a few Naga models, some silver pine, prehaps, trees (some dead looking European tree of any kind, Tarsonis trees look like paper on extreme settings), and, if you can, buildings similar to that Azjol Nerub Facade! (It was very nice!)
For some reason the older wowmodelviewers seem to work now that I got a different video card, which is weird since the error didn't seem to be graphic related. Anyways I can't get the debugg version or the newest version to work. debugg says it's not setup right and the newest says it needs a debugg or something like that to be ran. The older ones can't view Arthas Lich King and a few other models. I'm hoping to get the debugg version working.
Here are some models I would likely to kindly request for a map (underground theme)
Edit: Someone offted to export the dwarf models, and thus I no longer need them.
Anyways, I believe one can export armor models (and then I can attach them in the editor). If this is so, the T3 Warrior Armor, Dread Naught, would be nice, plus a Thunderfury (Blessed Blade of the Wind Seeker), unless it is already in the sword pack (in which case, ignore that part).

interior doodads, chairs, book cases, ect, would all be nice.
Is there a way that you can choose to use a certain animation for an action. Like... Is there a way I can switch the animations so that the model uses its casting animation when it attacks, rather than its normal attack animation?
Yes. That's all controlled in the actors. Nothing says the actor has to use attack animation for attack. At least with my limited knowledge of actors that what I assume is the answer. Also in the wowmodelviewer when you set up the model animations to be exported you can rename them, most of the time you will need to, and when you rename them it can be whatever blizzard allowed name you want, attack, cover, run, spell, work, stand, etc.
my request would just be to have some actual tileset textures. i want to use the terrain from wow.. if there is already some out there can someone link it to me please :( awsome work so far tho man
Gah, I've been insanely busy this week (you have no idea). Just wanted to let you guys know I'm still alive, if someone could compile the requests that have been made since I last uploaded something I'd be very greatful (doesn't matter what request it is, just want to see what's on the list).
Most of the requests were from me, but since then I have had a lot of them fulfilled. Anyways, here is a list of what has been posted last week which still needs exporting, and my own requests:
The Demon Form (Demonolgy worklock transformation) model without the lines coming from his hands. I had a friend export it, and the model was buggy. I am wondering if someone more experienced can re-export it so that it does not look so weird.
Atiesh, or a similar model (the demon, not the staff). I have seen him exported, but with a big crystal lodged in his back. A working copy would be greatly appreciated.
Armor models were requested for shoulder pieces by someone.
If there is a model for it, Leotharis the Blind, or a look alike. I do not think he used the Blood Elf base, but I could be wrong.
Illidan Demon Form, unless that crashes the game too.

Think I've tried to exported these before, and I know the lock demon form and illidans demon form both crashed the editor for me, and I Atiesh's model is very similar, but I'll take a look at his.

Be more specific in the props :p, Could prolly find Thunderfury, I'll get the satyrs done for sure. The felorcs have their own base model thingy in the modelviewer, so someone prolly did some fancy stuff to get them that I don't use :p. The textures are easy, I just gotta get them from the .MPQ files. However, it should be noted that by default (at least from when I did it before) the textures when you have put them into sc2 will be -a lot- larger than you might hope :b (not sure about filesize, but I mean sizesize)
The lock form did not crash my editor, and that was last night, but it was bugged. For interior stuff, Statues, Karazhan inside props, and Wyrmrest inside props. Statues, uh, chests are good, cabinets, alchemy stuff, stuff from scholomance, ect....
I know the fel orcs exist, too, they have axes and swords instead of hands, and, of course, Leotharis The Blind, or a look like, if at all possible.

Here you go for crossbows. Here you go for bows. Here you go for humans. Tutorial for changing attack types and spells.
Just for giggles, you can find axes (both one handed and two handed) and guns as well.

You have to choose a race first then you kinda dress that race chose to where what you want.
