They do mind. I.e using models from a new wow or sc2 addon before the addon is released will get you banned.

Any progress on this? I can't play HotS because all I think of is how badly I want WC4 and how much I want to import the models to SC2.

Yes you can use them in SC2. The Blizzard legalities are not know.

There is already a pretty good tool that removes chunks that cannot be processed. However it should be noted that LotV will probably use the same engine (they are developed together) so chances are models will be importable natively in SC2 version 3.0 onwards.

Once you extract what you need, use my MAX Script to import it into Max 2011, everything should work EXCEPT animations,

Is there any way to port the Sylvanas High elf model in Starcraft 2? I tried using the tool but it appears she has no animations.

EDIT: Nvm managed to fix it. She had a .w3a I had to add.
