I'm told that the model jade provided me is interfering.
I need this to be versatile, i need texture to dictate transparency. the edges of the bush from Zelda are transparent Also from my talks:
[12:07] <Triceron> you'd have to pre-define that in the shader
[12:08] <Triceron> so I'd have to make a shader that specifically says 'use Alpha information'
if this becomes a full fledged game i will more than happily add credit to the creator of the model as it would be due.
Hey zolden,
i need to make a couple of flat planes for my map as well.
I have 3ds max and the starcraft 2 art tools plugin
but i cant figure out how to do this. super noob at model making
when i try to export, the cutscene editor doesnt show anything (aka blank)
could u spare a little time to explain?
would greatly appreciate! thanks!
1. Size. Let Plane be 100x100. It will respond to 1x1 in game.
2. Z coordinate. Make il > 0, for exampple, 5. Then terrain won't cover it.
3. Material. Should be SC2 Standard with at least defined diffuse map. And don't forget to apply it.
But the best advice I could give you - read art tools tutorials, do what they say.
I'm making sprites. i got a plane from jade to swap Legend of Zelda textures on to play around with. but the issue is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gvv83kld79urr0v/Untitled.png?m

Possible reasons it doesn't show anything:

Hey zolden, tried your advice, still blank in the sc2cutscene editor
i attached the files. also, the world map is duplicated or using tiling for some reason.
thanks!
