Hey guys. So I'm officially releasing the map I submitted to the Blizzard map competition. This was my first map created in the Galaxy editor so it's not as refined as I would like it to be, but it's still playable and entertaining.
The map is actually a fetal engine for a much larger project me and a few friends are working on that will be PVP oriented with 360 degree control of your ship. I'm really excited about bringing that one to everyone because I believe it will cator to all audiences unlike some of the final fantasy RPG type maps ive developed. But enough about that map.. back to this one.
Basically Aerials is a four player 3rd person shooter where you get to control 3 different vehicles in your mission to destroy a big ass zerg mother. You get to control a Loki Battlecruiser, Merc Goliaths, and Merc Vikings. The targetting system may be different from what you're used to. It's a simple point and click system that will fire at whatever you shoot at. I felt this was a good compromise since most of the 3rd person shooters generate too much network traffic and cause lag. This method will cause zero lag and has zero delay. It's not exactly Starfox... like I said I'm still working on the system, but this game is a suitable immitation until more progress is made in the community with the editor.
I really like the style of this game, but there are a few visual elements that could use improvement. First of all, I don't like the way that your ship jitters/quickly changes its facing when you click. This looks completely unnatural and I imagine it should be easy to fix. Second, when the camera goes down into a 3rd person view, too much of the view is blocked by your ship. Perhaps you could make the camera look up more or zoom it out a little. Overall though, this looks like an awesome game! Keep up the good work!

Anyways.. have fun and hope you play it. :)
Creation
Well, first of all htis look like fun :D
Very dynamic - and I love that the flyers have different heights.
But have you tried it in multiplayer actually? Because I think selection events lag too.
looks really cool is it published on eu or us ?
Thanks guys. This is published in US.
And S3rius I've prbably had about 30 different people play this map. Never once got a complaint of selection/shoot lag.
is there any chance we will get this on EU ? it looks rly sweet :)
