The game uses a dynamic lighting system. Basically anywhere there aren't lights, there's darkness. Players can carry around flashlights, throw flares, and turn the lights for stations on or off. The darkness adds a lot of ambiance and a bit of strategy if you're, say, an alien that wants to remain unseen.
