Beginning to create a Modern Warfare Nazi Zombie style map. Gonna definitely need some help with scripting and modding. If you are interested let me know. Its going to be a 3rd person shooter instead of 1st person. Going to be the space style map. Working on getting the terrain down at the moment as best fitting as the original itself. If you have suggestions / questions about any of this as well go ahead and ask away.
Noobie Map builder so I'll prob be asking plenty of questions myself. Used to make maps in WC3, but the trigger set up is different then it now. More advanced for say in some ways.
Ideas:
-Its gonna be a 2 player game
-3rd person shooter
-Infested civilians as regular zombies, predators as the dogs.
-Gonna have to figure out something to put in for the wood blockades
-Also gotta make it blockable for the 2 players but not the zombies.
-Random weapon selection inside chest (which will prob be a system created to where it ask if you wanna take the gun in a button menu or not with about 10 seconds to choose)
-Also gotta configure each wave, gotta ensure that the correct number of zombies comes for each wave.
-Going to make injured zombies to, like the crawlers in MW1 so players can kite around and upgrade/buy/do whatever in that down time.
-Eventually will try to get custom buttons made for the different weapons, that will be later after release unless someone volunteers now. :)
-As well as a custom loading screen picture to set the mood of the zombies from SC2 as nazi's.
-Beginning camera introduction to introduce players and their characters names.
-High score system that saves which groups have made it to the furthest waves so far. (Both 1 player and 2 player settings)
-1 player and 2 player setting button in beginning (to set ranking system up and enable players)
-Saved locations of weapons that can be purchased. Probably will have these saved as Civilian shop workers or so.
-Grenades involved
-Electric Wall for 20 seconds with purchase
-Mineral gains throughout game with kills from zombies
-Secret in game missions that increase players stats or weapons (such as shooting something or finding things throughout map)
-Random Chest spawn location (from specially located spots on map of course)
-Gun fusion upgrade in top of map. Increasing gun dmg, speed, and round size.
-Weapons system where ammo switches between primary and secondary guns.
-Health system where screen goes red if player goes down, as well as goes slower and cant shoot until revived by teammate. Skill will be provided to revive teammate that will take 5-8 seconds. Depending on what seems fit.
-Bouncing Betty mines
-Sound effects to enhance the games overall rating
-Game over video that shows players being overrun
-List of controls available where WASD are used for directional movement, left click is used to fire, right click to throw grenades. Button to plant betty's on units button menu. R to reload. E to use. etc. Pretty much your standard shooter game setup
-Probably will want to implement speech commands so players who are not on a voice chat can communicate without having to type it out. "I need ammo" or "Kite them around, I'm going to go upgrade" and things of that sort.
Will pretty much be like a nightmare for people when they first play, cause they will have to get used to the setup. But its just like the original. Once they know what they are doing, they will get better and better at it. Its a really fantastic idea, but going to be a lot of work to set up. Let me know if you want to help again! I actually got the idea from COD Zombies
I played that game many times.
It's not 100% similar, maybe just few or just the basic gameplay.
Infested Civilian as zombies, debris blockade, buy weapons (my map has more than 20 weapons), i just dont have the chest,
i use spider mines instead of bouncing betty, and added to that, you can end the game in victory by escaping from the scene but it will take a while to do it.
I see you are also interested on testing my map, You are welcome to join tonight. are you in the US pacific?
