Is it just me or was Sunken Defense HUGE in BW? What happened to all of its fans? I don't even see many people discussing it on the forums.
Anyways, are there any developers willing to try remaking some of the old defense games? I would love to make one myself. Sadly, I have some sort of life. I tried converting some legacy files into SC2 but I was completely lost when it came time to tune it up, and make it into a clean SC2 arcade game. If anyone has the skills to do this, or knows where I can go to learn the knowledge required to do it myself. It would be MUCH appreciated. As I said earlier, I think there would be a huge following for this sort of game, based on its relevance in BW. So I think it would be worth someone's time if they have the ability.
As a fan of the old versions, I would suggest checking out Lucifer's Sunken Defense, Sunken Defense 2005-2011, and some of the single player versions. They were popular with people who liked to play Sunken D without having to rely on teammates. If anyone has any comments, or obvious reasons why nobody discusses this or wants to develop it let me know. I am anxious to see what people can create in SC2!
As far as I remember, it was a map where you could only build sunken colonies or maybe even spore colonies. The player would create a maze of these colonies for the units to walk trough. I think you could also buy units with every x kills. A TD with only 1 tower and a handful of units doesn´t really sound fun to me. I don´t think a lot of players would play this map over other TDs that are already on battle.net unless it is greatly improved and expanded on.
played it a lot on BW xp well anyway played a lot of Snipers and Impossible Missions and Korean D and etc and no one plays those in sc2 xp times change :p
