Hello everybody! I'm looking for a new project. I'm still pretty beginner with the editor. I have some knowledge through triggers and data, but not much. I'm pretty good at terraining but this is not really what makes a defence be good. I feel weird asking for ideas since that, with Starcraft 1 I always had ideas, but I was aware of all the possibilities. Here, with the Galaxy editor, the possibilities are so large that I'm just, lost through them.
I actually have one working map named as "Double build micro" what is acutally a double 1v1 with a few options during the game like flashing ressource when reaching a certain amount, flashing supplies when reaching a certain amount also, choose the computer's difficulty, things like that.
I make videos, basic videos, but still, I want to do interactive videos or more epic videos with moving units, wars, custom effects etc. You might want to take a look to my post: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/general/general-chat/19726-scbroodsc2s-cinematics/#p1 But this is not recently updated, so a few videos are missing. You should focus more on the cinematic ones more than the WTE ones.

So, I would like to have ideas about making a defence map. I'm all ear for any types of defence. Notice that I'm not actually good in data to do custom attack effects / models / missils mover etc. This will make it less unique for the design but I'm fine with that.
If you don't have ideas to give, well, answer for me those few questions that would make me find a good idea.
What is for you the BEST defence (without naming a map), what is the 'syle'?
How long should last a good defence? Ex: 10-20min? 30-50min? An hour? Two hours? More than that?
Are custom models / attack / spells really important for the design?
How many players should have a good def? 2-3-4-5...9-10-12-13-14? (I'm not sure what is the max, I think it's 14...)
Which is better: all players teamwork defence or FFA or groups of players vs others groups or w/e the kind?
Any other tips for a "what is a good defence map"?
