I wanted to ask whether there are still people who are ready to make a big campaign for SC2, because it will take years till Blizzard releases theres.
If yes, I would be happy to work with you and create an really awesome campaign.
I know there was an tread about this, but its last post is 3 months ago.
PS: I know I'm new here and don't have any published projects in here, but don't think i can't do anything.
I worked through the editor, made a view things, and I work as a programmer so I have some programming knowledge.
So I would be really happy if some people in here would be ready to work with me.
@Zz3r4tul: Go Welcome to mapster. There are some campaign projects going on. I have one but right now its on hold as I don't have free time. I'm not sure if the other authors are looking for help, maybe the guys from SC1 and BW remake if you want to work on that.
Don't beleve it will take years for Legacy of the Void to be released. According to Blizzard, they started Voice Acting at end of 2013, so, with a bit of luck, we can have LotV at end of 2014 or start of 2015.
I also think it's illogical to think that the community could produce a big campaign faster than Blizzard would create their campaign. I know they also have to build a multiplayer, balance it, and do a lot of QA, but they are already way underway with their production. Despite that, it doesn't mean that the community couldn't create something epic. I believe a few experienced campaign makers could create a campaign of around 20 maps within 2-3 years.
I hope you are around in 6 months to a year! I'm trying to make my own campaign at the moment. No programming experience or WC3 editor for that matter, but I've been learning a lot and plowing through. I really am harnessing all my free time to get this project complete...so epic!!
I'd be so excited to blast out a collaborative single player campaign in the coming future. I'd be especially excited to blast out multiple smaller campaigns that we would release over a period of time.

If I may solicit some unprompted advice;
Don't.
Your first map is going to be bad. It's just the way of things. It'll be messy on the outside, and messy on the inside.
At the very least, make a standalone mission and get it critiqued as harshly as possible, before moving on to something as major as a full campaign.
Uhm, my first WarCraft 3 map was the first map of a campaign. It turned out all right and was well received, even more than some maps I made afterwards. Hockleberry's map will be fine as long as he doesn't rush things, takes time to learn the editor, understands constructive criticism, aims for high quality, polishes, and makes maps first and foremsot for himself.
Looking at his blog I would he he is going to be fine.
Thanks for the advice!! I want to test my first mission for sure!! If it is really bad, then back to the drawing board, but I'm feeling pretty good about it and so hope it can go into my campaign. However, I feel like my first mission will now be my second because I want the story to really develop. I would like to do a little character development and world building before the shit hits the fan in my campaign.
The outside and inside of my first mission are very amateur. I'm looking forward to having my mission critique heavily cause it'll mean my next will be easier to crank out and way better. I plan on asking people to play it in a couple of weeks. So much polishing...and I'm having a lot of fun writing the story.

Thank you for the fast responds and the hearty welcoming, maybe your right and I was a bit unrealistically Im very sorta for that.
@SoulFilcher: I thank you for the advice to ask the SC 1 guys whether they need some help, I will do so :)
I wish all of you a nice day Zz3r4tul
