I suggest also taking this over to the teamliquid forums. It's got a very big melee map-making community and it's pretty competitive over there, you'd learn a lot really quickly. Mapster leans a little more towards the arcade style of maps. I'll give it a go.
So this is the first melee map I have made that I believe is actually worth sharing. It's a 12 player map designed for 3v3v3v3.

If you can't access the links, the game is published as Kal' Adnir in multiplayer custom.
Also, I'm worried about a few things:
1. The bases are somewhat small.
2. I used symmetry a lot for the doodads on this map. I think I managed to keep it from looking horrible, but I'd like others' opinions.
3. Are the bases too defensible? are the middle bases not defensible enough?
