@nolanstar: Go Tal'darim already have most of those, but my plan is to give them one hybrid too. They wont get the giant Warp Prism, it will be a normal one. I haven't added the Dark Templar variations yet, I really dislike them so I'm not sure what I should do.
@Zarxiel93: GoYes, I'm finishing both Skylord and Skytalon (Phoenix). I'm not sure what ability the Skylord was supposed to have but Skytalon has an AoE ability vs ground.

I added triggers to force the AI, they worked before, but I'm not sure if LotV changed anything. The best part is that Blizzard added tactical AI for several campaign units, so the AI will use them a lot better now.
Imho hybrids should be in one tribe and not Taldarim, since they rebelled against Amon after all

@SiarX: Go I don't need to tie the mod to a specific moment of the campaigns, so the Tal'darim can be allied to the Hybrid was they were for most of SC2 storyline. Replicant is currently enabled by the fifth tribe, called Furinax right now. The Gorgon is in a different situation, I received a few suggestions on how to use it but I'm not happy with them, I may add them to test mode though. You can already play the LotV version on Bnet, the same mod as before, SC Expanded HotS. When I feel I got to a good playable version I will create a new mod with a different name to be the final LotV version.
Speaking of test mode, keep in mind you guys can select it from the lobby, in the Extension options, where you select things like Big Game Hunters or Wandering Minerals. With this mode enabled you can access things that I added but still don't feel they are polished enough to be part of the mod. I've been adding even more things so the next update will contain some of my ideas.
@Celulariq: Go Hi Celulariq, welcome aboard! HERC will be added, Blizzard did not include it ready to be used, so I can't add it now. I'm focusing on Protoss changes. The tribes already use their own models.
Hi, in regard to an ability for the Skylord, I've been thinking about that recently and this might be too OP for multiplayer (I've just been thinking in campaign context) but my idea would be one which lets you order the Skylord's Interceptors to make a kamikaze run at a target unit/structure. So you can do a burst of damage but of course you have to rebuild the Interceptors.
I also like the idea of using the Furinax tribe as the fifth, the builders, the Khalai Caste. (I think, if I'm remembering right)

I think Blizzard is using Khalai as the name for all "Aiur Protoss" now, but I guess that was the name of the worker caste, right? Well, anyway, They are the only group that could be accounted for the things this fifth tribe is receiving. Replicants, Shuttles and additional upgrades and abilities for existing units. There won't be much else to give them.

The ability is missing visual effects though. I already added the Nerazim HT, even though I'm not a big fan of the idea. I still have to fix Psi Storm as the campaign version doesn't deal friendly damage.

I'm pretty sure at one point in the campaign Artanis or Karax himself refers to him as being of the Khalai class (possibly when he is first introduced)... confusingly though the term does indeed also seem to be used to refer to Aiur Protoss... hrmm.
Of course in universe the term to refer to Aiur Protoss is probably fairly recent as before the reunification with the Nerazim most Aiur Protoss viewed themselves as just Protoss and had no need to distinguish themselves.
Something I've just been reminded of while reading on StarCraft wiki in regard to Khalai Caste is they also include Protoss scientists there is a broad spectrum for them to have experimental units and such too.
I found the data of a Shadow Archon, can be the Tal'Darim Archon, a Void Ray of Aiur (is named Void Ray - Aiur, maybe you can call him Warp Ray like the beta), a Purifier Scout (with an ability for speed boost) and in the wiki I found this:
In the final product, the Tal'darim motherships occupy the third slot in the capital ship tier, and the arbiter represents the Aiur faction in the assault ship tier. Unfinished data for a purifier mothership and an Aiur mothership exist; along with the Tal'darim mothership and arbiter, the three would have provided a separate tier reserved for cloaking support ships.
@Kanitala: Go I have to think about the names. Should I go with Templar and Khalai? Wouldn't it be confusing for people that have no idea about that? I mean, they play the campaign and have a notion of who are the Khalai then play the mod and its not the same thing? Am I being paranoid about something unimportant?

I think that info may be wrong, the purifier mothership is in fact the one from WoL campaign, there is nothing in data linking it to LotV. At most they planned a standard mothership vs taldarim mothership but I'm not certain about that. I don't believe they planned this extra tier as it was described.

Regarding the motherships they are actually two things. There's the one that's just called Purifier from the Haven missions in WoL (which also appears in LotV as an NPC Mothership) referred to as a more powerful Mothership but there's also another unit called the Purifier Mothership and it's description to me seems to suggest it was originally a summoned unit (My guess is the Purifier Beam SoA power might have originally summoned a Purifier Mothership) and when placed in a map it actually seems to have a Data driven despawning where it warps away.
Yeah, not really a faction upgrade tied to the Purifiers.
I forgot to mention, I dislike Blizzard's "full Star Wars" changes in colors for khalai, nerazim and taldarim. I gave the Dark Archon (red) to nerazim but it feels weird to have that unit in the middle of all blue/green stuff. Even worse, I can't give a green archon to taldarim because everything else they have is red, it looks weird. What should I do?
@SoulFilcher: Still I dont get, why hybrids need to be separated, especially after LotV with new types. Imho it would make more sense to unite them in one faction; all hybrids there including enhanced version, void thrashers (towers, maybe capable of teleoprt when full energy), maybe hero units like Maar (with many special abilities) and hybrid from Piercing the Shroud (invulnerable while within certain radius from his production building). Coul make interesting facion concentrated on survival till late game
Besides, taldarim have a lot of powerful campaign units anyway, they dont need hybrids
IIRC, originally you wanted Gorgon to be very slow, versy sturdy BC, too. Single attack like BW would make it more original...
Hmm I can see how the Archon stuff would be problematic. It stems from the Nerazim and Tal'darim BOTH using Void energies, and if I'd have to guess it seems like red Void energy is more destructive/chaotic (remember the lore for Dark Archons makes them sound very dangerous and unstable, something that perhaps even something the Nerazim themselves fear.) so Nerazim only use such powers in dire circumstances whereas for the Tal'darim use it all the time.
I have it on good authority (PM me for my source if you want) that had they had the assets at the time the Tal'darim in Wings and Swarm would have used the red and black appearance so I'd be dis-inclined to use the green void energies versions for them myself. That said the Dark Archon being red is iconic. Problematic to be sure...
A crazy thought here: Make the Tal'darim Archon Purple in reference to Terrazine?
Ooh or another thought: Make the Tal'darim Archon a Void Shadow using the Glaze Material. The one problem I could see with that is I'm not sure Team Colour would be visible :-/

Can you update the taldarim buttons to use the taldarim rather than the dark protoss icons and buttons?
