Hey, guys! Just wanted you to know that I've begun work on a sequel for Crimson Moon. I've had this idea rolling around in my head even before I finished the first campaign, and today I started laying down the terrain for the first mission.
The story, which is called Amber Sun, will be a continuation, and not just a new set of events starring the old characters. It will dig deeper into the characters' past, and will play off the events in Crimson Moon, sometimes in unpredictable ways. That being said, I do not have everything planned out. At this point, the story resembles the back of a Swarm Host: solid, but full of holes. I have some radical ideas, and will try to create a campaign that is more than a cheap Blizzard knock-off, but also one with original ideas.
Some of these ideas include the following (may chang later):
A macro escape mission that will test your multi-tasking.
A post-apocalyptic "city of the dead" where you have to use EMP to kill seemingly undead enemies, all made more horrific with the use of sensor towers showing the scope of your enemy's army in the shadows.
Boss fights! This will be a challenge, but I thought it was pulled of well in HOTS, and it's certainly not impossible!
Overlord hunting, which is not only exactly what it sounds like, but also something that will make perfect sense in the context of the story.
A Diamondback chase, which might be ridiculously difficult to do.
Training with Protoss to face off with the final enemy.
An infiltration mission. Stealth and Crimson Moon go hand-in-hand, and I want to create a mission that takes this even further, with mechanics like getting through heavily fortified areas by sneaking into transport APCs.
I have finally begun publishing the campaign to the Battle.net Arcade (to all regions). Haven't done that before, but I'm getting there. I probably won't publish every mission once, as I want to make sure everything is up to my standard, but it'll get there.
Thanks for doing so. I've always wondered why there weren't published in the first place xD

StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign - A 24 mission single-player campaign featuring unique heroes, custom tracks, boss battles, a varied set of mission scenarios and three intersecting storylines.
Yeah, definitely. But I gotta finish it first, though. Thankfully, progress on AS07 is pretty good. Terrain is pretty much done, the action-packed opening cinematic is done. Just gotta make the triggers and the final cine and I'm done.

You sure do work fast. May I ask, how much time does it usually take to make a level in CA/AS ? You seem to work much faster than I do lol

I do work really fast, actually. :D CM only took like half a year. I suppose it's because I have a good routine (I don't fool around a lot). I always have a rough drawn sketch of the terrain beforehand, and a clear idea of what the objectives will be. Even cinematics don't take too much time (though there are exceptions, like Quarinius and his blinking everywhere).
A macro map doesn't really take a lot of time. The map is smaller, there are less events, etc. I don't know what the average time is, but 1-3 weeks is a good estimate. Micro maps take a bit longer. They have to be larger, as units traverse the terrain pretty fast. I spent quite some time on Alzadhar, for example.
JayborinoPlays is doing a runthrough of Crimson Moon on YouTube. Check it out!
In the meantime, I've uploaded a new version of the campaign. It's not terribly different, but there are some small changes, like bug fixes, added revealers, added stim, etc. Plot-wise, there are two notable additions. Firstly, it is specified that the two marauders and two medics in the beginning of mission one belongs to Yojimbo (which will be relevant for Aureolin Eclipse). Secondly, I changed so that Quarinius reveals the identity of soldiers after Janus has infiltrated the base (which I found to be more believable).
The reveal AFTER mission 9 is a really nice change that fits way better! I already recorded that mission; I'll have to talk about this at the beginning of Amber Sun.

The entire campaign is finished, including the mission selection screen. I hope you enjoy it. And it's always fun if I can inspire others.
Yeah, the Arcade isn't really configured for campaigns, unfortunately.

Yeee... You will do it also with Amber Sun ?

EDIT: The entire campaign is up on the Arcade, and a one-scene teaser is up on YouTube (not my forté, I'm afraid):

Eivindl, how can i do mission 9, i don't know what to do.. there is no cloak button ..
You most likely have simple command card turned on. Go to menu, options, gameplay and uncheck "Enable Simple Command Card".

Yeah, I think it is more believable this way.
Saw your video of mission 07. Can't wait for you to play the other missions, especially Alzadhar.
