The exposition is kinda important to the story (not gonna say why). Not sure I agree with it being unprompted, but I guess I see where you're coming from. I've always been immune to bad exposition, I guess.
Thanks for the feedback. There's a lot of good stuff waiting. I'm particularly fond of the fourth mission myself. The fifth one is really cinematic, with two long, story-heavy cut scenes.
That link worked. I'll try it out tomorrow, now it's sleepy time :)
And my project is also awaiting approval so it is not just you. I wonder if there are fewer moderators to do these chores now. And if there are, it's probably because there are lower activity now before the expansion. What is the term they use, "pre-expansion lull"?
No, it's some kind of bug. I tried to approve this campaign the first time I saw it but was in a hurry - after one minute of waiting for the approval queue site to open I said 'fuck it'. Tried again two minutes ago and currently still have the same thing; it just keeps loading.
OK I played a few missions and I gotta say this is pretty impressive. It's a bit challenging and forces you to use your heroes. One problem I did have was the hero size, I suggest scaling them down a tad. Henderson for instance was about as big as one of my tanks O.O
You should also use some of the custom models available for the heroes. There was a guy who made really cool merc marine units that would fit pretty well I think. I'm just a little tired of seeing Tychus in everyone's maps I guess :)
Keep it up though I look forward to playing the rest!
How refreshing that a mission with (almost) no killing can be so interesting. The plot thickens and I grow more and more fond of this. I must say that you have a real good handle on storytelling, I have alot to learn from you.
All your missions so far have been very solid and frankly I have never seen any fan made campaigns at this quality. The few concerns I have had are mere nitpicks. However, on mission three I would have liked the objectives to be a bit more clear. I was uncertain on when to destroy the APC's or if I should just let them pass, resulting in one loss.
I'm soooo glad to see new single player campaign and especially with this good quality. I havent played it all yet but you have nice terrain, good story and fun gameplay. Keep up the good work!

I like the hero size. It's a bit like WC3 (which I copied the story-telling method from, as SC2 mostly used the Hyperion, a luxury I couldn't find the time for).
I don't want to use custom units. I'm a bit tired of that. I prefer it to be more simple. No 15 abilites or 10 levels. Just a renamed, somewhat slightly buffed hero.

Great game :)
Glad you like the fourth mission. It was a bit unorthodox, but I like it that way. I hope I will deliver on the story. I've worked on it for a long time, and there's even an alternate first mission that was scrapped (it wasn't bad, but I took the thing in another direction eventually). Might release that as a curiosity when it's all finished.
The third mission being unclear: I completely see that. I like to tell you it was worst at first! I'm sure it's something I can fix with a tip.
I played it and it's pretty promising, I like some of the characters, like Quarinius (sp?) hanging out casually in the middle of insanity/invasion, kind of an oldschool feel for that character. My favorite mission is probably the Khan, even though it has some issues it stands out among what's been done until now.
The cutscenes are good but be careful with them, if there's too many cutscenes compared to gameplay people will get mad.
So, my suggestions:
- I know you don't want hero abilities but some of the fighting still feels a bit boring, just watching enemy HP go down, your call though
- fill the many empty areas with something (Khan has a ton of these, just walking along an empty corridor, but other missions do too)
- seems strange to blow up the basement of a ship that's taking you through space, why not hack those generators? the spectre character should be able to handle it
- get someone to proofread your text at some point in development, it'll help with believability
Crap, it does, doesn't it? I thought I had fixed it, and the last time I tried it, it worked, but it's been sporadic.
If you wanna see it, wait 'till Henderson has finished his transmission when the mission begins, and type "checkvictory", which should play the ending cinematic. I used that as a back-up to check it.
EDIT: I tried it two times, first by using the typing, then by rushing through the mission (with the aid of a cheat code). Both times it worked well.
Should we reupload or will it be fixed eventually?
I don't think re-uploading would help you; it's the mods (or at least me) not being able to access the queue, not your files not coming through. I take it this will be fixed soon(tm), since I passed the message on to the other mods and site coders.
Seeing as the file can be accessed, I guess there's no hurry.
I'd like to thank everyone for the criticism. This project is somewhat of a treasure for me, and I hope I'll be able to finish it and deliver. Currently having some problems with mission 7, although it's turning out great apart from that.
I am also planning a Protoss campaign when this is done. It's still early (I have the first scene and the ending, and that's it). Maybe I'll consider a joint effort if anyone's up for it.
Edit: I tried and couldnt approve a file from their project page. But a project can be approved from there (change project status) so just tell them to link their project and we can approve that
To be fair, I have no idea what's going on with that. You uploaded a file, I can find it under downloads, it says 'needs approval' but I can download the file as any other. I can't find any specific way to approve the 'file' - the queue I talked about is for approving whole projects only. Are you sure the download doesn't work for non-mods?

Just finished mission 4.

Sketching of the seventh mission can be seen below. I've scripted it and have begun placing terrain and doodads. Don't know when it's finished tho.

Mission 5 victory cinematic crashes for me. I don't know why, it's probably just me though. Also, trouble is a noun, not an adjective. :P
Overall pretty good though. Fix up some of the grammatical errors and this will be one of the most professional campaigns out there.

I had a crash on mission4 ending, but when I loaded my savegame and tried it again it worked fine. Might be something that happens randomly.

Some result from the mod forums:
Say thanks to Programmer and go for it :)
What does that mean? What do I do?
Nothing, it should be taken care of now :)
But there still isn't a download button.
