Ok, map's completed, I'm proud I made it, was a good examination of my mapmaking skills.
Its name on EU server is "Sid Meier's Civilization".
It's, I believe, a precise replica of the original Civilization, something between 4 and 5, but I gave it traits of survival at early game: there are barbarian waves attacking players. Also I've added some things from differents games like Rise of Nations and some of my own ideas.
Battles are realtime, while research and city produiction are turn based.
I'm not into slow continuous strategy games, but I think what you've done here is pretty cool. Only suggestion based on screenshot would be to edit "research" icon to fit to hero borders, right now it looks kind of silly.
Yeah, I will, just been postponing it, doing more important things, and then got used to it ;/
upd: done, but it wasn't about shrinking, it was about making borders invisible via alpha channel, so thanks for reminding, looks much prettier now :)
Im with Ducky, lol(name), I dont like the Civ series but this does look pretty cool, I'll give it a try if someone uploads it, Looks cool though, great work.
I want to play this but im in the U.S. Dose this game have a working AI like it can act on its own?
1. You can play it as I attached map file to one of above posts. You can even upload it to US server if no one did.
2. There is no AI, there only barbarians attack you in survival-like mode. They don't build cities, jsut spawn units sometimes. It's a fun trial for noobs to survive against these waves.
Guys, as I know, someone uploaded the map to the US server. It was nice, but I recieved complaints about localization problem. The "param/value" thing. And FockeWulf offered to upload localized version. So, I would ask the guy who uploaded the map to remove it please. I don't know who he is, but his playername is GeorgeF.

Here you can leave a feedback if you tried it.

I admit I've never played civilization, but the UI layout looks sharp. I would test it, but I'm on the NA server :/
Is there a way to post a link once it's ready so we can test it in the NA? I'd say it looks rather neat already :D

I agree, it looks real good. If only it was on the NA server as well T_T
Ok, upload it to NA then.

If i try its going to be my first time doing it. How do i upload a map on to SC2 and give you credit in the process like it shows your name not mine.
@VemonSnake: Go
The uploader name will be yours, but if Zolden has given himself credit ingame (or in the loadingscreen), it will still be shown.
Also, the map looks pretty cool. Will definately check it out.
