It sounds very good. Another thing you could do is have Reeves open a door that can only be opened from the inside, consequently letting them in without the hassle of infiltrating the compound.
That would work nicely as well. I'll try and see what I can make work with the limited space of the map I do have left. :)

Haha, well... progress on Mission 9 has been kind of slow. Haven't really had the patience to work on it this weekend, but I will most likely return by Monday and start working on it fully.
There's one thing, I can promise, though. A lot of character and plot development is coming up in the next missions, which I'm really excited to start working on. :)
What about yourself? Any recent updates to AE04? Very much looking forward to it!

Haha, isn't it exciting when you have cool plot stuff that you can't wait for people to see? :D
I was planning to work on AE04 in the holidays while I was home with my parents. I brought my laptop, but as it turned out, the editor doesn't really work very well with it, so couldn't do much. I'm back to my stationary and working on the map now, and progress is great. However, the map is so large it's gonna take some time. Hopefully I'll finish by before February. AE05 is, thankfully, much smaller.

I tested mission 7 and 8 on brutal, and I am stuck at the idiot subject I have to follow that stands still in front of the marauder for 10 min, there are not other ways I can use to follow him... It's so frustrating... I don't know if it' a bug or I have still to understand something
Is that the part by the destructible rocks? In that case, try using a method you had to use earlier in the mission.

I really can't be more clear myself without ruining the experience.
If you do keep going and still can't figure it out, send me a PM and I'll just have to help you, but I'm sure you can figure this out yourself :)

Mission 8 was fenomenal, even if hate stealth missions (maybe also because you are not a sadistic maniac like EvindL when you do stealth missions)
For missions 7 i would love to see some interaction with the leviathan, like him sending you a drop pod when a spore cannon is down to 1/4 of maximum health.
For the unbreakable wall i would like more to see a mass of thors and tanks with some science vessels, instead of unvulnerable units, but it's not so important
Maybe also some advice that advise you when a combined wave is coming would be uefull, maybe spelled from the leviathan itself.
The thing about the unbreakable wall is that even if I put 1000's and 1000's of Thors and tanks they will eventually (although, very slowly) be defeated as the Daggerfang reinforcements are unlimited. That's why I simply made them invulnerable.
I noticed you played on Brutal, I was wondering how you felt the difficulty was on Mission 7, specifically? Was it very hard or did you find a good strategy? What about the ending or story progression of both missions? Did they have an impact on you? I'm curious to see what you thought of those things in particular :)

I love that you let the player figure things out themselves. I try to do that more and more myself, and not just with gameplay, but with story too.
Yeah, I really enjoy coming up with these fun puzzles for the missions. It's just so different to have something like that in an RTS, and that's why it's so fun to implement. (I guess the Gate Control puzzle in A07 would be a great example of this too)
It's quite difficult to come up with something that works well with StarCraft, though, but I do have a couple in mind that I hope to implement in future missions. Heck, you might even find some puzzling aspects in the upcoming Mission 9 and 10. :)

Mission 8 was more about reflexes and puzzles instead of difficulty.
Mission 7.... I needed like two hours to finish it...
One thing i understood immediatley is that i had to face multiple attacks from far distant cannons to defend... Ling-queen-aberration- and mass muta clear all kinda easily, maybe with roach-hydra added... I don't really understand the utility of the guardian ? ok more HP, more survivability... But all the damage is dealt by the mutas, ok you can outrange the mind control field with them but still i don't find them really usefull...
Also the AntiArmored upgrade is useless, k more damage vs armored stuffs and structures, but it makes your mutas less efficent on clearing waves and ground units... I suggest you to put at the start also a choice between 6 target bouncing upgrade from hots campaign or this armor piercing single round
The mission was hard, but not too much, because the general tactic is to hold attacks until you have a tanks/queen/mutas army to keep yourself defended (i used to place far from the cannon some evo chamber to buy time) and then clear the map with the mutas.
I liked it because it required some multitasking, like "put the army on the middle of the 3 cannons and keep some units and structures to the north cannon, while doing that push bases with the mutas... That's the missions i wanted to see on HotS, he force you to deal with one of the zerg's weak spots, defence from multiple attacks contemporaneus.
Gj dude, we will never see a mission like SC1, shitload of units vs shitload of units? Just saying
I don't really understand the utility of the guardian ? ok more HP, more survivability... But all the damage is dealt by the mutas, ok you can outrange the mind control field with them but still i don't find them really usefull...
I'm surprised you saw no usefulness for the Guardian. That was personally my standard method for completing this mission. While they don't do any good damage, their range is what makes them perfect for this type of mission. They outrange the Psi-Emitter's field as you mentioned, but are also excellent at sniping hatcheries from afar, which once destroyed, will not be rebuilt, resulting in fewer units being built. I tend to have about 20 of them when I finished the mission.

I suggest you to put at the start also a choice between 6 target bouncing upgrade from hots campaign or this armor piercing single round
I know it seems useless, for some people, at least. Me included. I just put it there because I want to at some point have access to all available technologies in HotS. The thing about the mutalisk upgrade was that it wasn't too powerful, where as the 6 bounces upgrade would just make your mutalisks too good this early in the campaign. Some people might find a use for it, who knows.
(i used to place far from the cannon some evo chamber to buy time)
That was actually a very clever move. Never thought about that myself :D
Great job finishing these missions on Brutal btw. Absolutely love that you challenge yourself to that extent, and even though you fail a ton, you keep going! :D
StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign - A 24 mission single-player campaign featuring unique heroes, custom tracks, boss battles, a varied set of mission scenarios and three intersecting storylines.
About the guardians ... I see them not usefull because this is a multitasking mission like "safe heaven" or "awakening of the ancient ", here you need mobility (the guardian is anyway veeery fast considering his range), you don't need a siege unit designed to destroy thick defences, and for the mind control range that you cannot outrange with mutalisks, is a temporary problem, the loss of DPS is permanent:)
SPOILERS DON'T READ SPOILERS !1!1!1!1!1!1!!1!
Looking forward for mission 9, I want Malric's head, even if I think that dominon after the defeat of the annihilators on korhal may had absorbed the entire organisation, this would explain all the dominon stuff on mission 8
On the north Terran base there is a command center that you cannot see, but you can hear it explode if you attack the wall of unita ahead of other, what about moving ahead the whole base so I could had expanded two times
Finally got around to playing the 3rd Mission! Been quite busy with life!
Okay...well its amazing! I loved the opening cinematic. I think you should make it a little longer as I love staring into space!! :) I jotted down notes as I was playing on Hard.
The word cockpit in the opening scene seems kind of out of place...maybe bridge?
I dont't think banshees are space ready! This is when the Terrans attack, which is very very nicely done!
The diaolgue of progress bars takes up a lot of the screen, is there any way to make it smaller
When i saved it said anninihilation 02
Chamber 2 progress did not have an update...I think it was supposed to say "Hindered" or something
Please no dance of the stalkers! It takes away from the somber tone!
Timer was not in dialogue box for escape pods
I want the final cinematic to be longer and have a bigger shockwave!!
After i won i couldnt escape or use my mouse
Thats about everything. Gameplay is flawless and fun. You keep it varied and challenging.
Cinematics are well done! Some grammar mistakes...oh yeah...I think you used has a few times when it should of been have. Ignore mine in this post.
Ummm....its a pleasure to play your maps. Very inspiring. You should post on the Arcade one day. Maybe before Lotv is released. Maybe the whole CCI crew should upload and cause a riot!!
I am aware of this. I don't know why I haven't changed that yet. Oh well, next update I guess.
And about the Arcade, I would like to publish it on the Arcade. The problem with my campaign is it has 24 missions which means I won't even be able to release the entire thing on there. In LotV, I do hope they give us more map space and perhaps some better campaign support so they're easier to play.

YES! I agree. When I play the map nowadays it sounds so wrong. I'll most likely change that to bridge in the upcoming update.
Unfortunately, no. I don't think so at least. I'll have to check if there's a "Change Size of Leaderboard" action or something of that sorts.
