Btw i called a Map "crap/Other offensive terms" only two times and on private, and parts of some maps "bs, etc..." Only 3 times, especially with Antioch Chronicles maps of I remember well...
You've watched us all grow as mappers/modders and helped us refine our work and helped to keep Mapster together. However, I think if your 1st language is English then words like "bullshit", "stupid" and "crap" have a lot more loaded meaning. It's especially tough to hear someone say it when you just put a lot of work into your map. I know that you are not being mean or even trying to be offensive, but for us (1st language English folks) it has a certain negativity that can sting/hurt a lot more than you think.
I understand, certain words said to my (awfull) Map i put in battlenet years ago (it is a melee with realistic sizes and stats) would offend me too, forgive my ignorance, i don't know if that " MVP Tester " was real... If yes, thanks.
The overseer hero is a bit useless, he provide you supply, and vision/detection, but nothing else, you should Give him more spells, like a weak one that costs a lot of vespene, this should put him more on the fights, add Some Vikings while removing Some ground units to add a risk on using your low range overseer spells
I think if I make additional missions then I'll probably give bonus objectives that'll make the two heroes more useful and more abilities. And then those improvements/abilities will carry forward to future maps (even if player skipped bonus objectives... since I don't think it'd be worth storing that info in a bank or handicapping players cuz they missed it in a previous mission)
the mission itself feels like a typical terran mission, that's why controling siege tanks works so well
Against multiple bio waves, siege tanks are what you need on this mission, upgraded spines are fine, but i needed as much as possible high infestor count :)
Sorry I have not been around to test this map. Also why not?! Why you dont have a queen called WarGirlWargirl?
Clearly because in order to make an interesting character, I have to make them flawed in some manner or another. And clearly WargirlWargirl, you are flawless.
I enjoyed the replay. you made awesome use of baneling landmines and infestors. The difficulty of Brutal is so worth it, haha.
Thanks, i used baneling to buy time for mass infestor, so with fungal and Mind control i was able to win, little trick, I used eggs to consume them, thy can resist to 4 or 5 consumes
I have some definite ideas of what I want to do for the next two missions. They probably won't be on the same planet though (and will have normal vespene harvesting/no bounty). At the end of third mission should be a sort of mid season cliffhanger type deal, lol. I've started on some terrain for the second mission (early stages). It's an ice level. Don't have a ton of free time in the coming weeks, but at least I can copy a lot of stuff from the first mission (data and revive triggers n such.)
I wonder what the overall name of the campaign would be...
Something like "Chronicles of the perfect soldier, Wargirl, from the crimson moon adjacent to the amber sun, born of an aureolin eclipse within the vortex of the void"
Next missions won't be too vespene related. Without giving too much stuff away, think more of several secretive scientific projects n such under the lead of one mysterious figure. That'll be more of the theme rather than vespene. I think I'll have to rename the project page from the first map name to whatever I come up for the campaign name, once I release more missions.
Also next map I plan on introducing a rival of Wargirl's, but who is in..... UPPER MANAGEMENT DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUN!
Intro cinematic for mission 2 is done. I'd show it only I didn't save prettying up terrain for last. Right now the only texture in the map is pure snow, and it's quite blinding, haha.
@MaskedImposter: Go Just wanted to let you know that I played your map last night on the arcade. After killing the Goliath, I remember that the screen was black for the final dialogue. Is it supposed to be this way? It was definitely a fun and challenging mission to play. It definitely forces the player to move out to get enough vespene and increase supply so you can build more units. I also really enjoyed the bosses and the playful tone of the mission. Looking forward to more!

You are the Sc2Mapsters' MVP tester!!

legacy of the vespene?
whispers of vespene?
