Wow that looks really good. Are you planning on putting the cockpit on the round piece on the top middle? If so I'd still add some kind of eye(?) parts on the wings. I made one where those parts aren't actually indented but they come out. Either way I think works fine but I would add something that feels like that.
That looks great! My only other suggestion would be to either add another line to the big front wing or maybe move the existing line in a little bit. Compared to the rest of the unit it looks a little empty.
As far as the particles go I thought you could actually preview them. I think the animation has to be playing though if you are paused the particles will disappear. I might be off on that though.
That is awesome! Very unique design in my opinion. Are the animations custom? I don't remember a unit leaning forward that much. It looks fantastic.
On a side note I feel like this thread isn't getting as much traffic as it should. I wonder if adding "campaign" to the title might get more people to pop in. The ones that start with that tend to have a decent amount of traffic.
:D Thank's GhostNova. Yes it has custom animations. I will be reserving his reveal for when the maps are released.
There's some progress:
1. Created a model for Teradun (a high templar), with animations.
2. Polished Zergund model with textures, team color, and a few things.
3. Polished and moved "The Gathering" to mission 3.
4. Polished Ralrazin for mission 3 "The Gathering" with some animations. 75% Complete.
5. Done edits to some data for upgrades and stuff.
I'm deliberating on adding cutscenes as they may be more effecient when showing certain things. It's on hold since I can't find the example mentioned in that blizzard cutscene editor tutorial.
I'm a bit busy atm, so this might drag on for a little while longer.
As for the side note, maybe it's for the best. I'd like to give people a nice experience, and spoilers tend to break that. Though, moral support and encouragements are, I realize, very important and even vital to a project, more so than criticism.
Criticism is, imo, best reserved after the deed. It can, in some way, have an effect of taking someone out of the 'zone'.
I'm glad to see you are making good progress. I'm trying to get back into my projects and it's always a boost seeing other people working hard too.
I'm not sure if this helps as you said triggering and this is not using triggers, but this cutscene tutorial video from Blizz worked out well for me. At least for the basics.
Yeah that's the vid I was referring to. I couldn't find the example map, but figured out how to setup and run the cutscene via trigger actions. I paused the video and copied them.
Somehow they are using assets that aren't hidden when environment and actors are hidden, because mine just displays black when hiding actors and environment.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll find he right time to continue your project. For me, it usually comes with the seasons: when it starts raining and getting colder here, my energy for creative work turns a bit high.
I'm trying to control myself though, as I can go waaaay beyond what I can handle. In fact, I started considering zbrush again and 3ds max and creating a whole new model. I should stop before going too far.
@CybrosX:
Yeah, back in the day my pc crawled when rendering those cuts. I might consider making a new trailer just for the heck of it. But the time it takes to make them might exhaust my energies again and place the campaign back into hold.
I currently have an i5-3750k (or is that 3570k?) and a gtx 750ti. Runs things smoothly currently.

I wish I could add some actual constructive criticism but I just can't man. This is amazing. Really good job making it look like that "mouth" without actually being a mouth.

I was thinking adding the 'eyes' right between the extrusion below the wings, and somewhere around the booster area.

That'd look good I think. It's hard to give any sort of criticism when it's coming along so nicely.
What do you think of this one? I've reduced the size of the booster thingy..
Whatever you do, wholeheartedly, moment by heartfelt moment, becomes a tool for the expression of your very soul.
I personally like the larger booster but this one stil fits. As long as the effect is somewhat large it should work.
How about something like this? I like it, so I guess this will have to be it.
Though, I really like the one with big boosters too.

I think this should be enough for now. All it needs are bones and animations, maybe some particles, and crystal thingies.
I'm currently having problems creating them particles so... Death model and animations may have to wait.
Makes me sad particles don't show up when previewing which will make creating them much harder.

New model for Zergund:
I've added a user path pointing to the directories where the dds exists and the particles seem to work now. I hope it won't break when I begin work.

At any rate keep up the good work!

I love custpm cutscenes, i make them for abathur campaign too.
@CybrosX:
Do you know where we can study how to play a cutscene through triggers?

I like normal ones with cameras as cinematic. But i can make the normal ones too just .... waiting for my new pc to handle it ^^

Your go ahead signal is more than enough to keep me pumped up for more work, GhostNova. :D
Yeah, after looking at aldaris' broodwar portrait, it's weird to find him having fangs and his lower face looks like that of a guardian! :O
Was he a Xel'Naga? the tension builds... the mystery intensifies..

Small update to the Aldaris sculpt.
Also began work on a new model. Retopo in progress. XD
Also, which one of the shuttles do you think is better? left or right?
