I put that one on hiatus, man, it was taking too much work for too little fruit, not to mention it had a dated look. This is a new one, Zerg-centric, and the rest of the details will be posted soon enough, when I'm done with the first mission. Also, to show how different it is, this one will be two missions released instead of a bunch, as the previous one was intended to.
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
Did remind me a lot of that mission too XD. A pleasure to be of assistance :)

StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign - A 24 mission single-player campaign featuring unique heroes, custom tracks, boss battles, a varied set of mission scenarios and three intersecting storylines.
A little update: I worked a bit on AE06 yesterday... for like 5 minutes. I've been uninspired for like a month now. Hopefully, it'll catch up later. Maybe I'll finish the mission before summer (not implausible), but since I'm can't get anything done during the summer, I expect a fall/early winter release date for the entire campaign. I'm also considering not releasing anything else to the public until all ten missions are done.
P.S: Triggering might go beyond overkill for specific reason below...
FYI, I've had a map or too where I gave myself lots of different variables I could tweak for difficulty. I would end up tweaking too many of them from one difficulty to another, and it'd end up with vast difficulty spikes between options. I can't say for sure for your maps, but it's something to look out for during testing. Sometimes you only need a few things to be different.
Perhaps you should take a break for some time? Play some other games, watch some movies, etc, get your inspiration & motivation deposits refilled up, then come back to it?
Yeah, probably. I haven't been working very hard on it at all, though, so I guess you could say I have had a break. But it would be fun to finish it before summer. I have plenty of time, really.
If it's going to be finished during fall/winter then Legacy of the Void might be released by then. It might be good to wait a bit to see what features of LotV you can take advantage of. On the other hand you might want to make AE a pure HotS campaign so people won't wonder why only some maps have LotV features. In any case I'm sure you'll want to keep all three campaigns up to date after LotV is released.
if the map is finished then publish it. there is so much work to do after it is finished. and the earlier you catch all the bugs the better for your next maps.
you dont need the full package! reviews can be a great inspiration and motivation to further work on your projects.
Considering that he has testers, you do of course get a good indication of what bugs people might find. That being said, this is still only a minority of the people that actually play his campaigns. If you work on mistakes that people point out as you release them, you will have so much less work to do once the entire thing is released, possibly only needing to do minor touch-ups on the final mission. That's just my two cents, but you're of course free to do whatever you want.
I personally think too that constant feedback and critiscism from the players gives me more inspiration and motivation to keep going, and also helps me learn from past mistakes.

Well, I am certainly looking forward to it.
Oh, you bet - THIS ONE I'll finish, not even if Geraldus storms a nuke at my door! xD
@EivindL:
Looks like my imaginary faction you never heard of made it into your campaign ;)

Huh?

Looking good, gotta love jungle bases! Though for a second there I had a deja-vu of infiltrating an RSSI base :P
Actually, all kudos to dudkiSC2, because that mission was a big inspiration for this, aesthetically.

Can't wait for this.

I always felt that anything being released before the final mission is an unfinished product anyway. these maps are bound to be updated.

That is true. I'd also like to make a trailer for the thing before it's released.

Dude take it easy! Don't rush like is doing Bli$$ard with Heroes of the Storm, that will be shipped incomplete

But I hardly get any bug feedback after testing is over, so I'm not sure that argument holds water.
