I haven't had any mod experiences yet, but I've never really understand the need anyway. With a repick system in place and a votekick system, what good could mods possibly do? I've never (in all custom maps that have them) seen them be useful, while I have seen them abuse power and be assholes.
I have taken a look at your map upon request, and put myself on the top 5 global high score lists ^_^
My name should be spreading far and wide as you read this
Nothing personal, just feeding my little ego cos I can =p
Well you can go ahead and start using all the other many exploits, too, because nothing is going to be changed.
1. Bank signatures are in and it's piss easy to hack.
2. I used to have AES but it made no difference to the hackers at all, plus it made the banks difficult for me to use when diagnosing bugs and solving people's problems (obvious reasons).
3. Too late for this; the hackers already know where the code is and what it should look like.
4. This makes it a huge pain in the ass for my EU and SEA uploaders; library code stored in dependencies is very, VERY finicky, especially when transferring the map to someplace else.
5. lol no.
I'm waiting for Blizzard to add a protection scheme that actually works, because nothing I can do with the resources available will deter the current set of hackers.
Its just a trololol, but you can replace someone elses lowercase L with an uppercase i and troll as them. One guy went Rebecca Black so i went Rebecca Biack (uppercase)
This map is really good, but it is ruined by cheaters and people will stop playing it when they realize they r cheated. I played 3 games with same guys watercolour, hybris, assassin, executor on Europe server and they cheated via Skype. They joined every game and we all left cause of them and they kept coming so no games could be played. Please make some sort of banlist for nolifers that cheat in game like monopoly, ty.
Banning is extremely easily circumvented. There is no possible way to make a banlist because player names are unavailable (cannot be read) because they are text instead of string. The only other way to do it will never work because 1. you can unban yourself by deleting your bank, and 2. hackers would be able to permaban people given enough time. A kickvote system is similarly extremely abuseable.
You can blame Blizzard on this one. Not being able to kick in the lobby is a gigantic failure.
The problem is that Mafia's gameplay revolves around a vote-lynch process and already has a 75%-repick process. You'll see hosts literally being kicked out of the game if they try to make a mason-centric setup or pad the game out with citizens. Plus the kind of damage that system would do during the day is potentially great.
I've played maybe 14 games now, and my second game as a Godfather = victory. 4 people left. Me(GF), Sheriff, Invest, someone else. The day before I jumped on bandwagon and lynched my framer(my last fellow Mafia), 100% guilty vote. I kill "someone else" at night. Invest reveals himself, saying I am the GF. I get put up on vote. I say "if I was GF why would I lynch my own guy??" and sure enough, I don't get lynched. I kill the Invest at night, and then laugh my way to sweet victory.
GJ DarkRevenant. I really enjoy this. The first few times I played, it just all seemed so random. I didn't really know what all the roles were and what was possible etc, so it was very confusing/overwhelming and sometimes just purely not fun. But I stuck with it and I am glad I did.
:D

EDIT: Oh ya, the Mafioso was afk all game until he got SK'd. :\

The mods are very few in number. It's partially hacker-bait, since you have to break the Blizzard TOS to hack yourself mod powers.

Broken with new update......
I've been trying to fix it for 9+ hours.

Should read this to have better protection against hacking: http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/22160-a-hackers-tips-on-bank-protection

Nice SHA256 protection you have there ^_^. It would be secure except for a weakness you didn't account for =]
Its a real pity that you made it so that only 1 kick can be made per game =\
It's clientside, so there really is no way to completely prevent hacking. At all.

Thanks for answer, yea i just noticed nobody can kick in custom games, wtf another thing bnet 1.0 had that 2.0 doesn't huge fail..
Island Defense's kicking system works fine. 80% of the votes must be yes to pass it, and 50% are needed if they have disconnected.
