It's pretty cool, but there appears to be a bug when you go upstairs >_> You can walk through the wall on the right, but you can't go anywhere else.
EDIT:
Ah, it worked the third time I tried going up. Might wanna see what you can do to fix that though :P
EDITx2:
After you exit the door on the second story you can't get back in. It might help a bit if you could go in through that door, but only after you had opened it from the interior.
EDITx3:
The menu for quitting the game / viewing instructions appears to stay up after you click it, accidentally quit after playing around in it for a bit :|
+ Impressive terrain
+ Originality
+ Scary - I played this 2:40 am and nearly shat myself at just the scary sounds and random appearences =P
+ Custom sounds
+ Object info when pressing E (however, using a mouseoever function would be so much sweeter)
- The riddles themselves were not too complicated - however, finding the object was. I was frantically pressing E every tree and bush I could see, and yet I didn't "figure it out" until I saw your WC3 movie
- Too many 'scenes' or camera angles - especially in the crowded house
- Controls are horrifficly annoying - a simple mouse control would be so much better. Mouseover info on objects for interaction would be sweet
- The stairs inside the house are seriously bugged - took me like 5 trips back and forth to realize I had to use "E" to climb it - only to find myself stuck at the top if i accidently pressed W
- When I came out of the door leading back to the "key finding spot" and couldn't get back in - I got bored and quit
Overall: a very promising map that has a a bit too many moments of irritation to suit me personally, but that's what you've got feedback for! Good luck with continuing on the map, and I hope to see a more polished version hit B.net in the future :)
Thanks for the feeback guys, i will leave the TEST document up there for everyone to play until i can release a Demo v2 and hopefully try and fix everything!
I uploaded a newer version. Finally managed to play through most of the map myself as well, here's my feedback;
1) The controls and camera really are terrible. They drag the map down so much. If you'd simply make this third person it would improve the map so much. Examples of bad stuff caused by controls:
-Like mentioned earlier, if you walk from camera point A into camera point B and you hold down your walking button (which you will, since you're constantly holding the W, A, S or D keys) you oftentimes change direction and walk back into your previous camera view, or switch between the two views 5-6 times in rapid succession.
-The lay-out of the playable area is confusing as heck. Like mentioned, there are way too many camera points inside the house and I really had troubles navigating.
-The pathing is messed up completely in some areas. This is what eventually caused me to quit before reaching the end of the map. I got into the garden house but couldn't find anything in there. I tried to move to the bottom of my camera view to change the camera view, but nothing happened. So I started walking around the room bashing E to see if there was anything I could pick up - this lead to me somehow walking through the wall in the bottom of the room and I ended up walking around the room my camera was showing; I could see my flashlight poking in every now and then from the sides of the wall.
I'd really recommend fixing pathing and adding in simple third person mouse-controls.
2) Like also mentioned earlier - that door that reaches back to the key-in-tree-finding-place. FML. Because of the camera views and all being so confusing I walked through that at least three times, and since you can't get back in through that door you have to walk all the way back down again to go back inside.
3) To name some good points; god damn, that stuff was actually quite scary. I never expected it'd play this well when judging from screenshots and videos. You've got some huge potential here.
4) The terrain was pretty well done, but you can make it so much cooler. You'd need to get a modeler in - it's a shame they are so rare. If you had more doodads and more options you could make the whole house look awesome, now you had to cope with simple SC2 models that aren't really made for this stuff.
Don't worry, the WASD movement will be fixed, and with the camera issues, its impossible to make it smaller due to the fact that if i made it less, i'd have the make the house smaller, and it took ages to make a single floor. I'll fix that door upstairs though... Definetly.
I'm glad it scared you Moza :) Thanks
Oh and in the "Shed", on the left hand side you can see a small light, press E on it.... and Keep pressing E after each Cinematic :)
@Mozared: Go You didn't localize it. Param/value stuff.
Also the dialogs seem to be still there when playing, only not visible.
Where? Didn't see it pop up once? Everything was normal English for me.
@Mozared: Go There?
So... Apart from the usual camera issues and so forth... How does everyone like it?..
AND UPLOADED ON EU!! Thanks Mozared!
@Pshyched: Go

Odd. Then again, I did try it in test document. Will see if I can get that fixed.
Edit: Try again. Ran the localizer, should be fixed now.
@Mozared: Go Works now, thanks.
So frightening. :(
