Hey I'd like to create a litle community (with its own web page) for map that I publish and I'd like some help, I mean, I need masters on triggers, data, UI... I'm looking for people who would like to help on making a DotA style map, with cool abilities, effects and everything. By the way, I need Trigger, Data, Terrain and UI masters, because I can take the web page. Hope your help soon and let's make a cool SC2 map.
Do you really think you will get people interested by saying that? The only description of your project is another DoTA map, and it sounds like epople will do the job for you.
Most guys around here are already busy with their own projects, acquiring new team members isn't that easy, unless you describe your project and someone likes the idea.
I'll take care of the web page and help with everything I can :) I'm thinking on a map of 3vs3 with heroes (a mininmun of 9: 3 per race if possible, but will be incresing every patch we release). You have 3 lines to defend/attack and the goal is to kill the enemy Power Generator while taking yours alive. Heroes might be only pick once per player, I mean if Player X picks Hero Y, no one in the same team will be able to pick Hero Y. There will be several creep spawning all around the map for getting minerals. The only resource which is allowed are minerals. Everytime you kill a hero a leaderboard is updated counting your kills (it's easy only with a "Show integer as text" action) and get lots of minerals, more than the equal creeps give obviously. Experience is given to every player arounde the killer in a 10 radius. I'd like to be, at least, 18 levels for every hero, but each hero has its own attribute leveling, I explain, Y Hero gets 20 point on Strength at first level, but X Hero gets 18 point on Intelligence. This map will also has 3 attributes for heroes: Strength (increments the life armor, max life percentage and life regen), Agility (increments the attack speed and physical damage: Splash, Ranged and Melee) and Intelligence (increments the Spell damage, max energy percentage and energy regen). I'd like to have a custom UI for this (will be explained how it has to be in a nearly future). The terrain should be worked, I explain, it has to be realistic, so I need an expert on Terrain cuz I'm very bad at it :S (I focus on Data and a bit on Triggers). This map will have not alot of triggers: the Hero Selection, a tag for every creep kill you kill showing the minerals you earn, tags showing when you kill a hero...
