I made a fist playtrought of M9. Liked the terraining alot. And the feeling of the mission. The cinematics his also good. You have evolved as a campaignmaker I can see that. =D.
In the section playing as Mira kel I could lure the zers before the group moved out so I could kill them easily. Perhaps add them by trigger or move them futher back?
SPOILER*
I am fan off different endings so I really like when you got to choose. First I choose "painful truth" and made it to when Kaiser dies. Then the game ends in defeat becouse of the no heroes can die trigger. I do not know if that is supposed to happe, but I guess not.
So I reloaded and took selection nummber two, havenĀ“t beaten the boss yet.
Ok I played the first and last level. (Yes I skipped a lot, I wanted to see the finale, sue me).
Honestly I'm kinda glad I didn't play the middle missions... the English is broken, the gameplay is a little clunky and the dialogue drags on...
But the worst part....dude... did you really just rip off the whole Walking Dead show? Frank Grimes? Carol? Abraham? Daryl Dixon? This really ruined it for me. Honestly was expecting much better. Either make a zombie campaign tribute game to the Walking Dead, or make a Starcraft game, but don't try to do this Frinstones-meets-Jetsons cheesy crossover. And Daryl is a firebat? Maybe you're trying to do the same thing as the "Marauders!" campaign and be very silly/tongue-in-cheek but it comes across as lame. Sorry I can't think of another word for it.
Sorry if I sounded mean but the fact that you're like "ok whatever let me change all the names of my characters" communicates that your campaign has no real vision. You're just kind of slapping different storylines, characters, and cutscenes together with no real goal or overarching theme. I would suggest hammering out exactly the type of vibe you want for your next campaign, create a clean, unique story and gameplay style, and build from that. Hammer of Dawn feels very patchwork and schizophrenic. Also very rushed.
Bottom line: I'm not feeling any passion in this work. I recognize making a campaign takes a lot of time but if you're not going to invest yourself, why bother?
You told me that you only played the first and last level and that you skipped a lot, and that because it has broken english you are glad that you skipped it.
After that now you are back all high and mighty and cast judgement that the campaign do not have theme, just a rushed work of a schizophrenic author. Despite the fact that you only play the first and the last level.
After you express your dislike about the walking dead names and the author act on it you are also back all high mighty deciding because the author act on it the author must have no vision and no goal. Despite the fact that it was you that first express your dislike.
And finally give a bottom line you are not going to play it no matter what and there is nothing anyone can do to make you play it because you can not feel the passion and that the author is not invested on the campaign despite the fact that the author spent 8 months mapping, terraining, triggering the campaign.
Wow just wow.
The moderators already told me, warned me there be bullies. Told me not to hesitate to report any trolling or flaming or any insult and any personal attack.
I said 'no, it is sc2mapster. I am sure we have none here'.
Hey Edhriano. I have to say I am impressed with the final mission of Hammer of Dawn. You did a very good job making the player feel for the characters. I also really liked the concept of the final choice and the two separate endings. I don't think anyone has done that yet in a campaign. I very much enjoyed the mission though I would echo the same concerns others had for the map. It has a lot of talking which isn't bad, but it has only a little bit of gameplay to go with those cutscenes. It's mostly a few short combat encounters and one boss battle, which doesn't seem very long either. Unfortunately adding more gameplay might make the map too long with all those cutscenes, so I'm not sure what could be done about it. Maybe if the backstories of these characters had been partially shown before hand or foreshadowed more, you could have gotten away with a little less dialog in this mission, but you probably don't want to go back and rewrite part of your campaign now that you are finished. I know I wouldn't!
All in all, a very good job, and a very fitting end to this campaign. I do wanna ask, how does it feel to finally be finished?
Also don't bother with galaxy cross. He obviously just doesn't like references to other works within a custom campaign. Unfortunately those are quite common in Hammer of Dawn, so he's probably just not gonna like it which is fine, though he could have been less aggressive about it. Some people like references in entertainment, some people don't. It's just a matter of preference. Just keep doing whatever feels right to you.
Edit: I can see the broken English complaint, but you have to remember some authors don't live in English speaking countries and that most of the time a single person is working on these projects by themselves so they don't have someone to help them make sure all of their writing is perfect. I would rather see authors finish their projects than get frustrated and give up because they get caught up in trying to make their writing perfect.

Calling my opinion "trolling" or "bullying" tries to discredit my honest criticism and paints you as a victim. If you can't handle players critiquing your work maybe you should keep your campaigns to yourself.
And it's clear from the paragraphs you just wrote that you can communicate in English just fine, so the campaign's broken English just boils down to the creator being satisfied with a certain threshold of storytelling and polish.

While I agree that you probably weren't intending to troll or bully Edhriano, but it did come off a bit jerkish when you complained about something and Edhriano tried to take your feedback and change the names of the characters you had a problems with and then you insult her and her work for trying to respond to your feedback. Seems at that point like you just want to put her down instead of be constructive. Saying that she has no real vision and just slaps different story lines together was not a good choice of words nor does it help Edhriano become a better mapmaker or storyteller for that matter. If you are referring jumping between Kyra, Mira, and Annabelle at the beginning of the map, that makes perfect sense within the context as they were flashbacks to tell the backstories of these characters which were important because the antagonist was trying to use the pasts of these characters against them. I don't see how that is schizophrenic. I do see how if you skipped the whole campaign you might be lost there, but hey, what did you expect? you skipped the whole damn campaign. You say a lot of vague things and don't really elaborate on them in any meaningful way like "The gameplay felt a little clunky", like what gameplay was clunky and what do you feel made it clunky. "The dialog drags on" ok, what would you suggest Edhriano do about that and are you sure that you aren't just bored because you have no investment in any of the characters because well, ya skipped the whole damn campaign. If I only read the last 10 chapters of a book I'm sure it would bore me and seem very scatter brained, but that's because the narrative assumes that I have already read the rest of the book before those chapters so I will already know all the characters and subplots at play. I mean really man.
Well you've done a very good job with the endings. I can understand feeling down, but you should be proud you made a great campaign and finished it completely. Also you are welcome for the feedback. I hope it helps you improve as a mapmaker.

Almost a month since last update.
Everything is done except the ending.
Still torn about what to do with Kyra and Mira.
Should I give disney happy elsa and Anna end or should I give Arthas Menethil Lich King's end.

Hey Baelethal,
I was torn between giving disney happy Elsa and Anna end or giving Arthas Menethil Lich King's end.
When it hit me
' You know what, let the player choose how it ends ' .
I currently editing the dialogue, trying to see which can be cut, which can be alter but remain true to the story.
So far I manage to cut the dialogue by 20 % , which isn't bad.
How I feel to finally be finished? Very sad actually.
Kind of how I feel when Harry Potter ended.
Thanks for the feedback Baelethal .
