My most trusted companion for 3 years.

Always update driver, scan for virus and malware.

Clean it from dust once every month.

Never broke not even once, 2 weeks ago this happen.

And has been happening at least once a day ever since.

Also attach my pc spec using screenshot(s) from hardware monitor.

What do you think fellow mapster? what is wrong with my pc?

Do you have a second monitor/ video card you can try to use instead? Does it also occure with a different vc/monitor? (find out whether it's an issue of either of the two)

Can you restore your system to a state before these two weeks? Does it still occure? (see if it is some software/driver update that conflicts)

Are there any suspicious software changes within these two weeks? Video card driver update (unlikely in my amateurish opinion), adobe flash update for instance?

Well I am currently using my older vga card and older monitor, been on for 4 hours now without problem.

I don't have a restore point (yet).

Software? well you are right, about 3 weeks ago I update my display driver.

Probabilities of what's wrong:

95% - video card
4% - monitor
1% - some oldschool stylized virus

5 hours without problem after swaping the VGA card, I think most likely the VGA card is faulty.

Just to make sure, I'll let my pc run for another hour or two.

If still ok then I'll contact the nvidia dealer in the morning.

You can also download older drivers from the nvidia website and install the version from before the update 3 weeks ago. If it is the recent driver, that caused it, this might be a simple solution, too.

I already took my vid card to the seller.

Funny thing about warranty here in Indonesia.

I was under the impression if in the box there is a huge words with 2 YEARS WARRANTY on it that would mean well 2 years.

But when I take it back the seller said nope doesn't work like that, I was having one of the hardest WTF moment at the time.

I even send a letter of complaint to NVIDIA of Indonesia. Which they haven't reply (i doubt they ever will).

Well at least now I know why most of the people I know just buy new hardware when one of theirs is broken.

Sure did, after 2 months they give me brand new VGA card [at least they claimed it is brand new].

The sad part it is a one time deal, if it broke again even if the warrant time still valid I will have to get a new one.

One of the perks in living in third world country [bitter laugh].

@EDHRIANO: Go You got a new one after 3 years and think it is bad? LOL In the third world I live in you can't even contact the manufacturer directly and the store will only give you a new one within the first year, and only if a technician says it was not something like energy spike.

You got it wrong, the pc is 3 years old, the VGA card is not.
