the event i use is 'unit energy changes' and it has to track for 6 players. will that slow down the game at all since they will be changing energy every second?
Polling 6 variables per second should have no impact on performance, I wouldn't worry about it at all. To give a comparison, the amount of instructions needed just to track and play an idle animation for a single unit would be in the dozens if not hundreds. Nah go for it for sure.
after hours of learning how to set up a leader board and then not having it work, i think i found the problem.
i cant find "Variable - Set Untitled Variable 001 = ((Triggering unit) Energy (Current))"
only "Variable - Set Energy =" and then a preset option for unit property (get) that was energy. but i cant point it to the triggering unit.
i assumed it automatically went to the triggering unit since the event i used is unit-based.
in game it sets the leader board text to "4"
also, my icon for this trigger(the paper) has a diamond in the middle of it, what does that mean?
Edit: fixed it. working now. (leaving it up for other people tho)
also, it did have a sort of bug that i cant recreate now. i used 1 of my heroes abilities and it didnt update after 3 uses. then i used a default ability and it updated. havnt been able to recreate it since and its been working fine
put all three conditions in the first condition. wrap them with an 'and' and then delete the if then else thing
do you use the LEnergy anywhere else? if not, get rid of it. is it possible in your map that there is no player 1? or is it just to stop the update if player 1 hast left the game? is it a single player map? because you limited this trigger to player1
i need the if then else since im going to be using this trigger for all 6 of my players. since its not happening anymore im leaving it to a freak occurrence.
but how would i go about puting the event as the unit is hero. just so it fires the trigger less
how do i show a units current energy in a leader board?
it's a real - unit property you have to convert it into integer and put it into the leaderboard
