It sounds like a very basic thing, but whatever I try I cannot get the double beam heal from medivac to activate and work like it does in the story campaign.
The following things I've tried:
Deleting all references to the "Medivac - Advanced Healing AI Purchased" requirement.
Adding a trigger to complete the upgrade requirement.
Changing the normal heal ability of the medivac to point to the same effect as the double beam heal (this will make the healing stop functioning properly)
Replacing every value from the medivac heal ability by the double beam heal values.
Changing the the heal button in the command card to point to the double beam heal ability (ability does not show up in the list even after deleting all the requirements of the ability)
Replacing the medivac - heal effect (heal - Create healer) by the double beam primary effect (Heal initial Switch), this will make the heal stop functioning properly (the animation shows but it does not restore health, and neither does it work for multiple targets).
I know it's a lot to read though but can someone see what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
I think the double beam works by adding 1 beam, so by switching effects, its still only going to have 1 beam (I think). There is one tricky field that deals with requirements, let me see if I can recall it for you...
Open the ability (the two heal) find the field "Ability - Commands +" find what I have highlighted, and delete it, and your perfect (tested)

Thanks for replying, but I tried that already but I still only get it to heal one unit at a time. I even tried to replicate your steps in a new map, but I get the same result. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the upgrade description, this does allow it to heal multiple targets at once right?
In the double heal beam Ability tab -> Commands - Requirements. Did you remove the requirement so the Value says none? If so, you did it right.
Another thing is dependencies, I read somewhere to get the campaign stuffs to work, theLiberty (Campaign) should be at the top of the list. Maybe that's why your heal isn't working right.
