Before i go into my main issue, i just want to ask a couple of questions...
1. How many units do you think can be on the map at once, with out causing huge Lag?
2. How do I limit how many units can be on the map, so as to reduce lag and incorporate it into the trigger below.
I'm currently working on a map that will spawn units every 1 seconds from 8 different Regions.
But im a little stuck on how to make a really good trigger for it.
At the moment the triggers i have in placed are really simple and probably bugged and full of leaks.
So im just looking for some guidance on how to make this Trigger work better.
The way the system will work is...
Players have 30 Seconds at the start of the game to Build up their forces.
Once the timer window reaches 0, Wave 1 starts and 1 Unit at each spawn location will spawn every 1 second of game time, unitll Wave 1's unit limit is reached which in Wave 1 is 40.
Once the 40 units are dead, then the timer starts again for 30 Seconds then Wave 2 starts which is double the amount of units so instead of 40 units its 80.
Is anyone able to shine some light on how to make this trigger work, and show me a way to create it.
Thanks all :D
Well for starters dont worry about lagg. Try and get a function trigger that creates a unit at each region every second.
Im going to assume each region spawns units for a specific player
Event- Periodic timer 1 second
Actions-
Create 1 unit for player 1 at region 1
Create 1 unit for player 2 at region 2
Create 1 unit for player 3 at region 3
Create 1 unit for player 4 at region 4
Create 1 unit for player 5 at region 5
Create 1 unit for player 6 at region 6
Create 1 unit for player 7 at region 7
Create 1 unit for player 8 at region 8
A more advanced version might make use of arrays and independant funtions but for now try and get it to work like my sample trigger.
Once you get that to work set the triggers property so that it is not "initially on".
Create another trigger
Event- Time elapsed 30 seconds
Actions -
Turn on SpawningTrigger (this action is a "trigger" actions" search for it)
