I've followed all tutorials, created a lot of map to try to make this work, but it just never worked....
I've edited a zergling, renamed it to Ling and at stat-flags I ticked Hero.
I created a Veterancy behavior, set min. XP for levels, then I added to my Ling (behavior-behaviors-behavior).
But my Ling doesn't get any XP from kills.
I also copied my Ling and set the unit type to Hero, added the veterancy behavior to the hero Ling(called Lingy), but it still doesn't work...
Any idea?

You have to go to each unit you want to give XP and set their Experience point, you can set the amount of Xp/resources gained from killing any unit.
It was your victory conditions, Units dont gain points after the match ends. :D
Just delete the melee triggers, or if you plan to use them place some start locations temporarly for testing
ALSO i suggest you set the heroes attribute to hero/whatever, instead of light/biological
