I Like overrun but I stunk. Thanks to a strategy video, tho, I can make it up till wave 10, after which I get board. The game is basiclly a "build a base to defend from zerg". And it has a lot of custom units and things, which is nice. What are your strategies?
-Woah I just realized this is in the wrong forum. Can a mod move it please?
I tend to save up overload for wave 10, after that i switch all my marines for reapers, Marines are basicly Shit against anything above w11
the first 10waves are basic Bunker and turret.and repair when low on health.
About wave 12 and im toast.
The map kinda sucks tough, dont know why its still at the top
My strategy (taken from a vid walkthrough) is to make 3 bunkers full of marines and then put 7 hellions behind them. Then upgrade hellion range. Then I had no problem at all till wave 10, and unfortunately I paused the game for a few minutes and battle net killed the game because I was inactive for a little while =[
But frankly, most of the maps on the popular list would be quickly replaced by better ones if it weren't for the fact the popularity system stinks.

I beat the game a few times, when you coudl win it by killing the giant overlord. I havent played since. Basically the strategy for waves 1-10 is build two rows of bunkers 3x3 with 3 turrets in the middle of them, there should be no room between them so worms dont destroy your turrets. Only stack them with marines. After sell your back row of bunkers and turrets and get seige tanks and reapers. Get the reaper upgrade to shoot air and get some photon cannons with teh split shots upgrade. Should be able to beat everything this way.
I completed the game on my second try. Just did marines in bunkers + 1 medic per bunker for some autohealing. On wave 11 switched marines to reapers, upgraded bunkers and built photon cannon towers, which made me win tbh. I can upload the replay if anyone wanna check it.
I enjoyed the game, although Tier 3 is still under development :(
Basically what I did was marine/marauders in bunkers (with marine atkspeed upgrade and marauder +range/splash slow), then built about 7 or so bunkers. After that, I just saved up money for T2.
By the time I hit T2, I swapped out marines for Reapers, upgraded all my bunkers to superbunkers, and got an immortal in each one. After that, I just spammed siege tanks and got the tech that lets you hit air with reapers/immortals.
I ended up not actually getting past round 20 though, because after I killed my boss my ally died, causing a ton of fliers to annihilate my base. :\
Over run is a defensive map where the objective is to not allow comp to destroy the center tower. There are 4 humans players, each player is responsible of fending off one side as waves of unit enemies come flooding in.
Overall, I enjoy the game especially its replay value and variety of tactics. Unlike most TD maps, there are actually many viable strategies in successfully fending off the invaders. Being able to play the game differently each time keeps the game fresh. TD map Tank D, it is easy and too common strat to get that early immortal.
I enjoy the unique game's challenge progression. You upgrade buildings to build better units but at the same time it RESTRICTS you from producing other unit.
Lol, it is like the evolution of evees:
If you evolve your evee to a one of these pokemon, you will not be able to evolve once again to another pokemon.
Each level really provides a fun ongoing challenge. One minor mishap and your defenses will crumble. At this state, the map isn't finish. There are more waves coming soon as well as new building upgrades and units. Fortunately the map is playable up to a certain level.
I've been following this map since it was first available in Beta. Its got potential, the map has undergone a couple balancing changes recently that really improved it. The only problem is some units still need balancing to make more useful, there are only a couple of units you can really beat this game with, and there are very few other combination that will work. The fact that you're forced down a single path makes it even harder to keep your forces diverse, encouraging massing one specific unit.
I've been to level 20 a few times different ways but if you follow this strategy in the video below you will have tons of minerals left over. I didn't realize it was this easy until I watched, It was sure harder when I did it with turrets and other junk.
This map is decent and more polished than most but it tends to lack gameplay. Waves last a really long time (2-3 minutes) but the amount of time you spend building stuff is maybe 10-15 seconds and a lot of waves you don't even necessarily build anything, if you're saving up. And since you tend to just park your units in bunkers, that means there's literally nothing to do for 90-95% of the time you're playing the map. I've beaten it several times now but I tend to spend most of the game alt+tabbed. Paradoxically that's one of the reasons I like it, it's a map I can play in the background while doing something else.

Just thought I'd let you know, I don't think it needs to be moved check out the forum rules at the top it states:
Yeah, this has to be one the the best/hardest polished maps on B.NET that's even close to the top. You really have to know what your doing to beat it, or even get close. And the reason it's close to the top is because everyone that has played it wants to beat it... And it's kinda taking them awhile... lol

I'm definitely looking forward to Tier 3 and I hope it arrives soon (gogo RainGame!). The map is absolutely a recommended one.

IMO, best map I tried on bnet. Its polished and unique.
All other maps are buggy, unfinished, boring...at least ones I tried...
