I've decided to take on the wiki head-first. Every day I shall be editing the wiki, making it the best it can possibly be. Most of my changes will consist of figuring out the unknown fields that people become stumped on. In fact, I've already gone ahead and filled some loose ends. In its entirety, I have defined these unknowns:
- Units > Resource State > Raw
- Units > Revive Delay
- Units > Flags > AI Unit Obeys Suicide Even If Its Not A Normal Attacking Unit
- Weapons > Legacy > Reload Duration
- Buttons > Simple Display
The reason I made this post is not because I want an attaboy, I just want to let the community know that after months of lurking, I'm finally going to contribute to the SC2Mapster community, because there's tons of knowledge about the editor that I have to give, and plenty of time on my hands to do something about it.
Edit:
Went ahead and copied over the Footprints page, made some major edits to it to make it both readable and more informational. It's now at http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/Footprints.
Edit:
Went ahead and copied over the Structured Overview page, made no edits to it other than formatting; I'll probably make changes later. It's now at http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/Structured_overviews.
Edit:
Went ahead and copied over the API Docs page, made some edits in format, however did not add the little icons and someone else may have to do that if I don't get around to it first. It's now at http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/API_Docs.
Edit:
Went ahead and copied over the Presets/Constants page, made some edits in format, however did not set up any links, as there were a bloody lot of them. I'll get around to it soon enough. It's now at http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/Presets/Constants.
Edit:
Went ahead and copied over the Lighting Editor page. Didn't bother to change anything, so there's a few broken picture links. Feel free to fix them. It's now at http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/Lighting_Editor.
Edit:
Went ahead and copied over the Console page. Made a bloody lot of formatting changes, but nothing else. It's now at http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/Console.
You'll notice now that the ENTIRE main page is now complete with no red links. stayed up till 3 am finishing it up.
I did a lot of transfer of topics to the new wiki from the old. We have an excellent set of tutorials, but most of the documentation for more advanced topic is just verbatim from the editor.
In fact I am using the new wiki, trying to make it to where we don't need the old wiki for anything and that eventually we can just directly link to it with the "wiki" button on the main page, and thank you for the praise, I'll keep it up ^_^
Sadly, Curse has locked all of our admins out from linking the new wiki from the Homepage. :( This is what I gathered from Sixen cause I wanted to change the link.
You should make the old wiki page blaze(be really obvious) the link for the new wiki...cuz I think that is the best we can do. I made it pretty obvious to click on the link, but it could use some more blazing.
Alternatively, once all is copied over we can just delete all the links on the old wiki and have it redirect? Or at least just show one link to the new wiki and nothing else.
A while back I went in and fixed all the broken links in the tutorial wiki in my signature. There's a ton of useful, links there so it might be worth adding to this new page you're making.
I'm pretty sure all those tutorials are already in the wiki. The reason we switched to the other wiki was due to links breaking every time Curse did an update.
Just checked. Your signature goes to the new wiki. Yay!
Just busy with my PhD. Had a 76 hour week last week and as you can guess that cuts into free time and sleep dramatically. So yeah I have been doing one experiment since January and will only finish next month so I have been neglecting my duties a little. I still try to moderate the wiki once a month or so.
At least now there are people willing to add to it because for 6 months I was the only contributor.
By the way how is the last wiki challenge going of updating the tutorials list?
Only reason it is outdated is because no one gives a comprehensive and clear description of fields. Also there are still tons of entries from the old wiki that still are not carried over.

I'm going to say attaboy! You using the new wiki?

Admins? Moderators? You guys have any input.
Dr. SuperEvil used to be around a lot more....but where ever he is I'm sure he is really excited that the wiki lives on!!

1) Raw means it cannot be harvested and is used by vespene geysers and other stuff that needs a secondary unit built on top of it.
2) The time after the Revive ability completes before the unit revies
3) Probably for baneling type units lacking an Attack ability
4) Test with charges maybe?
5) I think under options there is some feature to display simplified test for buttons if enabled
Your terrain textures need an HOTS update.
Major errata in your footprint editor page. Building means unbuildable. Flying/Jumper/Scaler movers.
See you did not read the data for my data types interaction map (http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/Main_Page/Understand_the_Meta_Concept_of_Data_Editor_(A_Good_Starting_Point)) Please consider renaming that section since the last bracket messes up the link.

We miss you Dr. !! Good Luck with your Ph.d. The wiki is still alive and well...maybe a little out-dated, but still relevant!

Does the challenge continue? Will anyone take up where thePreserver has Fallen!!??
