Fortress Survival is a project originally started back in 2007 by Maddawg101 using WarCraft III.
It has since then been developed by many and grown into a very popular map. Recently, the project has been dying due to lack of updates and WarCraft III in general is slowly following. The requirements in order to successfully play Fortress Survival Alpha require a knowledgeable player in order setup their WarCraft III properly to take advantage of all the features within-game.
That being said, the time for StarCraft II has come and we are officially working on the Fortress Survival Beta.
Currently, we have Wargirl developing the Terrain so most of you will know how stunning and amazing it will be once completed.
We require Developers who are experienced with Triggers and Unit & Hero Creation however to be honest, we would love all the help we can get.
The WarCraft III Map took many years to Develop and we'd like to have the SC2 version as soon as possible. We are open to working with many Developers to get the best final result. Too many players love our game and can't appreciate it because of how poor WarCraft III was designed. The fact in the matter is that with StarCraft II, we can actually remake the game the way it was meant to be played, without all the downsides of WarCraft III's poor engine. If you think you fit the role, please Personal Message me either here or on the official fortress survival community forums and I will try my best to respond as soon as possible.
Remember this is a popular project and as soon as we find the right Developers, this will take off. Currently, Terrain is covered however everything else requires real specialists so please do act quickly if you find this of interest. We'd like to get this into public beta as soon we can and there are a lot features still requiring Development! Feel free to post below if you have any questions/comments.
Thank you, Sincerely, Nevo, Current Manager of Fortress Survival.
Not applying, just here to say HAH! I loved this map back in Wc3, could play it over and over again. Easily my favorite back then, glad to see you moving on to Sc2 ;)
It sounds interesting enough. But i have never played Fortress Survival in WC3, also i am working on my own project trying to finish it to 30 may for Blizzard's contest.
Else i would join you guys.
But i am sure you will find good specialists! Good luck guys!
Your best bet would be to find people willing to learn the data editor (from within your community). The data editor is by far more challenging and time consuming than the wc3 data editor. the trigger editor is far superior, and easier to use. Anyone who has triggered for wc3 can pick it up and make something. Many triggerers, including myself, would love to help out on a project with potential; sadly, potential usually ends with a lack of data work. No offense to this community, or to the busy data workers here; but data work is like pulling teeth around here.
I might be able to help you guys, however, at the current time I am working on my own map that I am planning to submit to the "Rock the Cabinet" contest, which ends on May 31st.
This means that I will consider helping after the 31st, but right now I have a lot to do in little time.
I am interested. Currently on my senior year for CS so I can handle the galaxy scripting and triggers. But I would like more info about the game before I commit.

We have people in our community learning, we need ppl with experience to speed things along.
problem is our old devs dont have sc2 yet, were still trying to fund that for em.
