I am looking for a private teacher on sc2 editor, as it is too difficult to start alone.
The aim is for me to make a good start, and to understand the bases.
As I am french, it would be easier if the teacher would be french speaker. But an english speaker would be also ok.
Of course, i would pay for the lessons.
What are your goals with the editor? What interests you the most? The majority of mappers specialize in 1 or 2 areas, but not the entire editor. If you have a specific interest in creating models and animations, that person may not be able to teach you much about the trigger editor. Someone who can teach you about triggers, may not be able to teach you much about making a good terrain.
Me personally, I am great with triggers, and pretty good with data. There are a handful of data fields that elude me still (because I've never needed to use them). Also, are you looking to make something, or just be good at it? Many mappers can get you from A to B in a rough manner, that doesn't take long. Others will create entire systems, and data tables, and icons, comments, ect, which is more professional; but may take 3 times as long (and be unneeded work if your goals are simple).
Either way, I would be willing to teach you general stuff about triggering and data, if you are available during the same hours as me (for free of course). I am sure there are lots of people here who would be willing to do short sessions with you for free; especially if you are interested in learning something they are already doing anyway.

My aim is too learn to use the editor by making this module.
I guess I will need mainly datas and UI, i will occasionnaly use triggers, banks and dialogs. I don't think I will need terrain, models, and cut-scenes.
I would prefer too learn doing things « professionally », even if it take 3 times as long !
