I'm currently looking for someone specialized in the Data Editor to work in the single map project "Earth II". This person will be assigned multiple tasks that will often challenge his skills and knowledge in the Data Editor, as he'll be working mostly with Heroes and their abilities, unit mechanics and weapons (Particularly for specific factions) and other things simply too complicated to write here. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete and versed understanding of the Data Editor in every function, including Actor, Unit, Effect, Sound, Model and other tags.
- Considerable skills in creating Hero abilities (More specifically DOTA level, as these abilities will be leveled and heroes will gain XP and level up).
- Understanding of unit weapons and how to replicate and tweak then for the abilities I'll want.
- Complete discretion on the alpha stages of this work.
The first, obvious, is straightening out units. I'm putting some new ones in that map, besides unique ones, and those need effects and attacks fixed before I can even consider launching it to alpha test. I've tried doing some stuff (Like a Colossus that shoots four beams instead of two), but the effects sometimes aren't there, sometimes they're just bizarre.
Then, comes the heroes that, as I meant, they're supposed to be DotA, which means they'll get XP, level up and gain more and more powerful abilities that level up too (Four abilities with a max of four each). Spells and heroes are varied, consisting from AoE, to chain (Like Chain Lightning), to active and passive spells.
Other than this, the remainder is ironing bugs out, though I feel the majority will rather be on my part (Triggers) than on actual Data Editor.
